This is really amazing work - you've really captured the atmosphere and said so much more with visuals than could be said in words alone.

And, that outtake is really amusing. That panel of Jake is definitely a favorite

I really like the style and the dark mood of your comic, Betaruga. In fact, it made me read the original story "They that walk in darkness". Although my personal view on the Dark SWAT Kats is quite different to those of the authors, it was interesting to read nonetheless.

I think you've taken quite a challenge with adapting this one into a comic which I assume will take several years (?!) when you are staying close to the original story line. I'm curious how Dark T-Bone and Dark Razor are gonna look in your style.

Really enjoying the way you convey the tone and "defeated" attitude in these scenes. The technique you use in the subtle differences in the character's expressions panel-by-panel is really impressive.

Actually, if I may correct Chance's right thigh (or is it Jake's butt doing the talking? The word bubble could be pointing to either), if My Science Project taught me anything, it's that people do often break into junkyards to steal stuff.

All jokes aside, I'm liking this so far. And I can already guess what the chittering is.

By the pricking of my thumb, something pink and unintelligible this way comes...

That feeling you get when you haven't posted anything in forever... XD

Anyways, I agree that the bubble is placed pretty hilariously in a way. XD And yes, something pink and stupid is exactly what I would think would be in all of the scrap. :3

Also love Chance's line in panel 2 of page 11. Made me laugh, anyway. XD

Empire of Tetanus? I guess it's... worth a shot!

(Hopefully their skills at ruling an empire aren't too rusty!)

If the creeplings are scavenging in a junk yard, they are probably just looking for parts. Chance and Jake really should give them a brake.

I'm serious, they really auto do that.

I shoulda revisioned the creeplings with Mohawks and leather jackets, so when chance and jake went outside they'd have discovered their lot got turned into a punk yard.

*shame*

Punk creeplings? So I suppose they are looking for a scrap?

It's probably not worth worrying about. Sounds like that's an issue that would come in cycles.
