One could ask the reverse question about Chance and Jake. When's the last time you saw someone go to see a movie wearing mechanics' coveralls, even a Z-grade monster movie? There's such a thing as too casual. I think they could've at least reused the outfits from the flashback in The Wrath of Dark Kat for this scene.

Awe I guess Feral literally took everything from them to pay off their det. Can't live wherever they lived before, took close probably repossessed car. Although they did manage to look like they had a nice vacation on anakata island. Maybe saved up enough from side jobs?
As for chance not knowing hardshell is a really gross bug the trailer probably wouldn't be playing in commercials when he's watching scardy Kat. That was my take anyway
And Razor calling t-bone Chance would totally be something I'd do. I totally blurt out random students names when I'm trying to get a kids attention lol.
And With Chance, his fear of bugs and well bugs. If he was anything like my mom and her fear, move to Canada. No packing. Just move. Lol

I disagree. These kinds of monster movies are often advertised to kids.

Wow I must of really zoned out when commercials came on lol.
Now I'm just picturing IT trailer coming on right after kids watch my little pony or something. No wonder why kids often think there's a monster in the closet or under the bed.

"Those kinds of monster movies" refers to more old-school stuff like Godzilla and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms. Their main draw was giant monsters trashing cities. It is a very different kind of movie with very adult themes, and wouldn't be advertised to children.
So did the original Godzilla, incidentally, but the sequels typically dropped any pretense of serious themes, and lost what little adult material they did have when they got (usually poorly) dubbed.
In any event, 50s-style monster flicks were lapped up by kids back in the day, and commercials for them often played during TV and radio programs aimed at them.
