Inktober2018-06.png And bringing in some influence from Claire Hummel's Historically Accurate Princess series, a Queen Callista placed somewhere in 1350s England. I went down a short research rabbit hole with this one, and that'll come back when it's the Pastmaster and Madkat's turns. Inktober2018-...

QueenSimia scrawls some things

Figured I should put one of these up, especially since it's currently Inktober and I chose to revisit SK and put my own stylistic touch on them for the theme. Huzzah! inktober2018-01.png Starting off with T-Bone , best kat of course inktober2018-02.png And then Chance, naturally inktober2018-03.png ...

Re: Di's Designs

The second design is definitely better as the words are easier to see so stand out more. Cool design, Sagey! Thanks, Fel! And, yeah, I'm almost ashamed that I posted the first one too quickly without leaving it be for at least a day and coming back to it because I should know better. I even had a g...

Re: 3 Years Later: Evaluating the Kickstarter Phenomenon

And, as Tarnish mentioned, these were all cartoons with proven track records. Did the Swat Kats have a proven track record though? It aired for two seasons and fizzled out. That's kinda the opposite of what I was saying. What I meant to imply was that the three rebooted shows I cited—DuckTales, Sam...

Re: 3 Years Later: Evaluating the Kickstarter Phenomenon

Thundercats tried the same thing only 5 years earlier, but it bombed spectacularly. From what I've heard, the 2011 Thundercats series got decent ratings, but was canceled since the toys didn't sell, which tells you where Cartoon Network's priorities were/are. RazSad Ah, that's slightly less disappo...

Nice, and they made her face more kitty-like! Been playing around with that myself, and I like this person's approach. Good find!

Re: 3 Years Later: Evaluating the Kickstarter Phenomenon

After seeing the most recent posts on this thread, I've started asking myself: Is this really worth it? Should we just keep SWAT Kats in the past? KittyEyesChanceIcon RazAfraid As far as hoping for a revival? Maybe. As far as enjoying it and participating in fandom? Heck no. The Rocky Horror Pictur...

Re: 3 Years Later: Evaluating the Kickstarter Phenomenon

There's also the question of: is this a cartoon that today's audience wants? Is a cartoon of two anthropomorphic cats fighting crime in their jet something that can still garner enough interest? Or would it need to be updated so much that it can't really be considered the same cartoon anymore? That...
