Re: What year does the show take place?

July 1993 in our world lines up with July XXXX in theirs. And yes, I colored Miss July a bit in the SK colors. xD

Re: Surnames in the SK world

Speaking of Greenbox... I did look up his first name (mostly to see if it was a legit name). Leiter: German: from Leiter ‘leader’, status name for a foreman or for the leader of a military expedition, from Middle High German leiten ‘lead’. German and Jewish (Ashkenazic): variant of Leitner. (ancestr...

Ohh, it took me a second to figure out what you were quoting. I missed that when copying and pasting. There we go, I changed it.

Re: Surnames in the SK world

The last few surnames (I think). Litterbin: a container that holds materials that have been thrown away (Merriam-Webster.com) or bin (usually in or outside a public building) into which the public can put rubbish. (vocabulary.com) This definition had me rolling. Ringtail: American English it's a rin...

Re: Surnames in the SK world

Nice! I didn't have time to tackle it today, but I did start in on first names (because why not). XD Just our heroes for now, it was late. haha Chance: Primarily English in origin, means good fortune. It is the transferred use of an English surname that originated from France. After the Norman Invas...

Surnames in the SK world

Bananas went the Anna, and here we are. I got curious one night about the meaning behind some of the names other than basic puns or cat references. This is what I ended up with. I also chose not to do ones like Litterbin or Dolittle since those are way obvious. I doubt many of these went into consid...

Re: Why Do People Seem To Think Chance Isn't Intelligent?

Chance and Jake are most likely on equal footing when it comes to their respective IQ. They'd have to be in order to design, build, and keep repairing all that they do (not to mention join the Enforcers and then run a salvage yard). And a lot of the time they can follow each others ideas with just a...

Re: What year does the show take place?

I'm blanking on the episode I saw it in (when I find it, I'll nab a pic of it), but at one point the Always July calendar had a close up. I googled "July 1993" and it matched perfectly.

Re: Season One Body Count

I started laughing when I saw these threads. My thought was, "I'm glad I'm not the only one who's done this!" XD I'll have to redo mine and compare (it's on actual paper God knows where, and I did all deaths, not just cat).

Re: S1E01 - The Pastmaster Always Rings Twice

Has anyone else ever noticed how the time tunnel that takes our boys into the past looks suspiciously like the old school Doctor Who ones? I wonder if they borrowed it....

And I've got to wonder what exactly killed off their dinosaurs if heavy artilery doesn't do it.
