Re: Failure to Launch: Reorienting after the Revolution That Wasn't

Yeah, but do they really? I thought the money was to make the trailer themselves, presumably by paying someone to animate it (using the Kickstarter money). It was never mentioned that they'd need a third party. They might be playing it by ear, they've probably never tried to get a series back up an...

Re: Failure to Launch: Reorienting after the Revolution That Wasn't

I've been out-of-the-loop (understatement of the decade...). Any particular information on what problems they've had/having?

Friend on Discord said Netflix is "desperate" for animated series, but I'm going to ask him for more information on that.

Re: 3 Years Later: Evaluating the Kickstarter Phenomenon

Considering everything, I feel like some of this might be my fault. The Kickstarter campaign was probably too much too early (assuming of course that animation would actually get out of its current "lolrandom comidee!11!!" phase in the near future...). But maybe I forced the issue back when I was ru...

Re: 3 Years Later: Evaluating the Kickstarter Phenomenon

IIRC Warner Brothers was gumming up the works (though that might have changed, I don't know).

I really hope WB knocks that off, but you know what they say... hope in one hand, (bodily function) in the other, see which one fills up first. :(

Re: Hurricane Florence

I'm hoping it actually dies down before Saturday when it's supposed to hit. That looks incredibly unlikely, and more so by the hour. There's already been a state-wide mandate to evacuate OBX and other barrier islands if possible . And here's the current rain chart. https://i.imgur.com/ZV8zD2ql.png ...

Happy 25th!

It's a real shame WB isn't being supportive, but they've been incompetent for a good while now. RazSilly

Re: SWAT Kats Variety Ad

Once the computer's back, I have half a mind to see what I can do just for shiggles now. I'd probably strip out the type and recompose it in Illustrator/InDesign (hooray for borrowing my job's CC license, although I found... other ways to use the Creative Suite before *cough*) after identifying and...

Yeah, it's always a bummer when the source you have to work with isn't so good from the outset. RazEnraged

Re: SWAT Kats Variety Ad

There's definitely intentional green highlighting on the figures, which probably spread with Reduce Noise (you're using Photoshop, I assume?). Most likely some scanner reflection and JPEG artifacts contributing to it as well whenever any blurring operations come into play—mashed-together/softened a...
