I just thought about what occurred in the episode when the Red Lynx was targeting Mayor Manx. While Manx was at the golf course, Manx said out loud that he hoped Callie wrote about bravery in his family and with a dark look, he also said honesty while cheating at golf by deliberately trying to knock the golf ball into the hall.
In the episode where the Metallikats target him, Manx is left in the dark about getting a bribe to grant them parole. Would Manx have accepted the bribe? Is he a corrupt politician associated with mobsters?

I think it is implied in Destructive Nature that Mayor Manx is either corrupt, or prone to act with some irregularity. But most of all, he is someone rather cowardly and lazy.

I think that while Manx is okay with minor cheating on things like his golf game, he wouldn't get involved with any major corruption. If he did, I doubt that someone as principled as Callie would work for him. Also, Feral would arrest him if he found out.

He's cowardly, self serving, possibly greedy, lazy, and generally seems to be less than useful for anything that doesn't involve getting votes and funding. But I don't think he's corrupt.

Re: Is Mayor Manx Shady?
I’ve always found it funny that there’s all sorts of hints that Manx may not be on the up and up, yet it’s Feral a lot of people point to and say he’s corrupt and power hungry, even though there’s no evidence of that.
And no, Feral kicking the SWAT Kats out of the Enforcers isn’t evidence. The flashback is highly subjective, plus there’s the unreliable narrator possibly in T-Bone, especially since Feral didn’t even get a chance to have his own viewpoint of the events.

Maybe if someone made a large campaign donation he just wouldn't do anything to stop something? As long as he thought it wouldn't hurt his re-election chances. I imagine he's too lazy, or too fearful, to stick his neck out.

He is definitely shady.

You search and search for something, never realizing it is within and always has been. You can not find it, you can not understand it, you simply accept, and believe, and it will grow.
