Genius Bonuses in SWAT Kats

A genius bonus is described by TV Tropes as:
A joke or tidbit meant for people knowledgeable in a certain field. The rest of the audience doesn't get it, but it's usually subtle enough for them not to care.
So just now I thought about the episode The Giant Bacteria and how an attempt was made to destroy one of the bacteria monsters with antibiotics. For a moment after the antibiotics were applied we see the outer "skin" (maybe cell wall, though the exact nature of the monsters is an unknown) of the bacteria monster become brittle:

As it turns out some antibiotics work by disrupting bacterial cell walls! And while they don't really work by making them brittle (it's more like causing them to burst if the bacteria tries to divide) I thought this could be a possible nod to actual biology.

I can think of more possible ones (watch Destructive Nature and you might find a subtle one), but I think I'll let the rest of you submit some so this thread doesn't become a one-man band. :P

Antibiotic resistant bacteria have to pump our the antibiotic, so it probably only affected the upper-most layer of the cell wall, so maybe it only pumped out the antibiotic to a thin layer at the outer-most of the cell wall and left the rest of it intact :ugeek:

I bet is something related to how the mutant monsters reacted to different temperatures (hot from missiles and cold). I mean, that part where Callie and Razor are in the air vent was... strange. Neither of the kats got freeze (they just felt a "little" breeze) but the plants got frozen in an instant. I don't have a proper answer for this, but it sure needs (and may have) an explanation besides just being "mutant added properties". ZymeIcon

Notice the "N2" written on the side of that coolant tank T-Bone dropped onto the skyscraper? In chemistry parlance that's the shorthand for diatomic nitrogen.

In other words, the coolant was liquid nitrogen. :ugeek:

Oh, wow, I didn't know that! I did always wonder what the "N2" stood for!

Also, Razor dropped it onto the skyscraper, not T-Bone. T-Bone did pick it up from MASA, though.
