Okay, try When Strikes Mutilor.

Hint: the aliens acknowledge a solution to something that has to do with the big conflict. You could say it has something to do with storing stuff.

I think I responded too early last time so I'll wait longer in case someone finds the solution. SKFistIcon

No answer after one month so I'll reply.

When the ship Mutilor snagged was sucking up the Kat's planet's oceans it was briefly mentioned that the water is stored in a condensed form.

A little bit of math and physics here, the entirety of the ocean's mass is ~1.4*10^18 (14 followed by 17 zeroes) metric tons. Or 1.4*10^26 grams.

So that mass would have to be compacted into a size that fits let's say... 10 cubic kilometers. The water of all the oceans would have to be compressed down from 1.35 billion cubic kilometers to fit 10 cubic kilometers, roughly a million-fold increase in density.

In fact, the water would have to be compressed to the density of a white dwarf (1*10^12 grams per cc) to fit that volume! Now that does preserve the atomic nuclei, but molecules aren't possible at that density. So if the ex-water was decompressed there'd be no guarantee that all the atoms would recombine entirely back to water (you'd probably get stuff like peroxides and various types of hydroxyls and toxic forms of salt and maybe some cyanogens from dissolved nitrogen and carbon, and even contact explosives like nitroglycerine and nitrogen triiodide, yikes!).

So I'm guessing that the "condensed form" probably isn't like conventional compression. Maybe they can fold spacetime or something? RazDumbfounded

Time for Mutation City!

Doctor Greenbox intended to use an anti-mutagenic compound to reverse the effects Dr. Viper's mutagen was having on the city's life.

Turns out that anti-mutagens do exist.

P.S. I was going to make a longer post on the nature of the (anti)mutagens and CRISPR/C* style gene editing, but I'm a bit too lazy to write that kind of post right now. SighingChanceIcon

One final post for this thread.

Note the markings on the side of the ship that sank Mac and Molly's boat:

They might be international load line markings:
The International Load Line markings are found close to the center of the hull and indicate how far below the waterline a ship’s draft (the distance between the waterline and the bottom of the hull) may be governed by a variety of conditions, including fluctuations in water temperature and density.

Let us consider a large container ship that is being loaded while it is in port. The ship sinks further into the ocean as the weight and number of cargos increases. The ship would be at serious risk of sinking if the freeboard—the gap between the waterline and the top of the hull—became too small.

The following is a graphical representation of a typical load line marking.

But this is such minor a detail it probably means nothing. SteeleSweatDropIcon
