Jackolantern Carving Challenge

Post by MoDaD » Tue Oct 11, 2016 12:48 pm

It’s that spooky time of the year when ghosts, goblins and other scary things might be showing up at front doors demanding tricks or treats from the occupants within. What better way to greet these costumed guests than with a SWAT Kats-inspired Jackolantern?

Carve your pumpkin into a design based on a character, creature, item, vehicle, etc. from SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, take a photo of it and post it to this thread or tweet it to @TheSWATKats to enter to win a rare Remco T-Bone action figure:

All entries must be submitted by Halloween, October 31st, 2016.

If you’re a forum member, post to this thread. Tweeted entries will also be posted to this thread by me as they come in. There will be a poll for a week starting the day after on November 1st, 2016 to determine which participant earns the prize. Everyone can carve a pumpkin, but to vote you must be a member of the forum.

Good luck!

I will not be participating in this contest. I dislike carving pumpkins. let alone emptying them.
I'm very queasy about that kind of thing. it's weird since I can handle seeing live autopsy with all of the icky details just fine.

In my town, Halloween is like any other day. I wish we did something here too, but no luck, and since no one in my house like pumpkins, my sister is allergic to fruit protein and they are hard to find... I think I won't participate in this challenge. ᶘ TᴥTᶅ

So, I found a store selling pumpkings (they are very small... but better than nothing) and maybe I'll give it a chance in a friend's house.
It's my first time trying this and I don't have a single clue of how to do it. Any of you have some tips for carving a pumpkin? (tools to use, techniques...)

Stab it until there's nothing left to stab.
