Project Phellus: The Kat Homeworld

Post by EditorElohim » Sun Sep 12, 2021 9:08 pm

Good Day to all. First of all, I'm not so sure if this goes here; if it should be moved, please let me know.

Anyway: practically a year ago I commented on this topic viewtopic.php?f=17&t=739&start=10 about my thoughts on other cities and nations in the Kat world, presenting some flags, a map and some data. At that time I said to myself, "I have to make a topic about this."

Well, I finally decided to do it.

Here you will find a relatively detailed profile on the Kat world: its history, economy, politics, culture, etc. In this case, it follows the theory that the kat world is an alien world, different from Earth; I'm more in favor of the idea that it's actually an Earth from a parallel universe inhabited by kat instead of humans, but that's another story.

It's worth noting that the story here is practically a crossover with the Stargate SG-1 series, and it's the world I employ in my story "My New Boss". I admit, I'm a big fan of that franchise, and of crossovers in general; don't blame me. Anyway, although the Stargate element is very present with respect to the distant past, that doesn't affect much the characteristics of the current world itself. I will mark with another color the elements related to that franchise in order to avoid general confusion; if you have any doubt, please consult me... or Saint Google.

I just want to clarify a few more things:

- This work was done purely for entertainment, and is NOT canon.
- English is not my native language, so I don't speak it much and I make more use of the translator. If you find something that doesn't make sense, please let me know.
- I'm also not looking for problems because of political differences or anything like that. I've tried to profile a world based on what the series gives me and the time in which it was released.

Anyway, I hope you like it.

Astrographical information

Galaxy: Milky Way
System: Phellus Solar system
Number of Suns: Sol
Number of Moons: Phellus’ Moon

Societal information

Species: Kat
Population: 5.7 billion
Technological period: Information Age
Under control of: Kats (present), Ancients, Goa'uld (past)

Phellus (Hesperus in Ancient, Mye'yu in Goa'uld, and designated P4W-712 by the Tau'ri, this being the gate network code) is the kat homeworld and cradle of the kat civilization in the Milky Way. With a population of over 5.7 billion, Phellus is one of the most populous known kat worlds in the Milky Way. This is due to a long period of isolation from any alien contact, at least until relatively recent times.

Galactic Data

Phellus is approximately 30,000 light-years from Earth, in one of the galactic arms, in an ancient sector that belonged to Bastet's domain. There are several stars orbited by planets capable of sustaining life around the Phellus star system; the nearest star system is Tolima, composed of a binary system of yellow dwarfs with a habitable planet.

System Data

The Phellus' solar system consists of a G2V (yellow dwarf) star with seven planets and two asteroid belts orbiting it.

- Aegis: First planet and the closest and warmest planet to the sun. With a diameter of 5000 km, it is a molten world, covered with magma with temperatures close to 1,000 °C.
- Bastet: Second planet. Similar to Venus, it is a greenhouse world with a thick, toxic atmosphere and high temperatures of up to 500 °C. Its diameter is 5% smaller than that of Phellus. It has a single moon called Maahes.
- Phellus: Third planet, garden world of temperate type and home of the Katkind. It has a moon with no particular name.
- Arles: Fourth planet. It is a barren, cold and desert world identical to Mars, except that its diameter is 9,000 km and has a denser atmosphere. It is suitable for terraforming. It has two rocky moons of less than 500 km.
- Inner asteroid belt: abundant in rock and metal asteroids.
- Iovis: Fifth planet and the largest in the solar system with a diameter of 180,000 km. A gas giant that resembles Jupiter in its atmosphere, composition, behavior and even colors, except that it has the most spectacular ring system in the solar system, rivaling those of Saturn. It has innumerable moons of various types, including a volcanic and an icy one. Unknown to the kats, one of its moons supports aquatic life under a crust of ice, while Iovis itself features an ecosystem inhabited by gas-based creatures.
- Kurnos: Sixth planet. It is a gas giant similar to Saturn both in appearance and size, it has numerous moons, but its rings are almost imperceptible. To the annoyance of astronomers, many kats consider it the most "boring" planet.
- Ozuna: Seventh planet, discovered around 3721 A.K. by astronomer Gabriel Ozuna. An aquamarine-colored ice giant similar to Uranus. It has several moons, most famously, the so-called "Shattered Moon of Ozuna" due to a huge split that makes the moon appear to have broken apart.
- Outer asteroid belt: contains asteroids as well as comets and ice blocks.

Planet Data

Phellus is a rocky planet very similar -if not almost identical- to Earth in almost all aspects, which would explain why the Ancients chose it as a colony world: 12,696 km in diameter, translation period of 365 days of almost 24 hours each, axial tilt is 22º, which allows the existence of seasons, active tectonic plates, as well as gravity, temperature and atmospheric composition and pressure practically identical to Earth.

Phellus is 68% covered by water, nine main continents (Verucchi, Viperia, Yuronda, Wokonda, Kathay, Bhurakistan, Aoterao, Shezad and Crio), several islands, which present a very varied topography, climate and ecosystems: deserts, forests, jungles, plains, mountains, tundra, etc., as well as a wide biodiversity that is practically identical to Earth except for some rare exceptions, such as the Oil Sucking Eel.

It has a single moon with no particular name that has the same size and mass relationship to Phellus as Earth has to its moon, except that Phellus' moon has almost no dark volcanic maria or "seas" and has a surface full of mountains and craters.

Although it has no naquadah, Phellus is rich in Trinium, which the Kats call “Agracite”.

History

Alteran Era. Between 60 million to 10 million B.C.
Spoiler:
Known to the Ancients as Hesperus, it was the third planet the Ancients colonized after they left their home galaxy (the first planet was Dakara and the second was Earth), and one of the most important and prosperous worlds of their empire in the Milky Way.

Hesperus was also home to the city-ship of Feles, built thirty million years ago and located on the western shores of the Verucchi continent. Between five and ten million years ago, the Ancients were forced to leave Hesperus for the dwarf galaxy Pegasus due to a plague.

Postwar against the Wraith. Between 9,000 BC to 8,000 BC.
Spoiler:
After millions of years of prosperity, followed by years of war against the Wraith, and to save their legacy, the Ancients left the Pegasus galaxy in the Feles city-ship for Hesperus in the Milky Way, where they found that their former world now housed a feline sentient species in an incipient neolithic stage they called "Phelis", known centuries later as kats.

Their ship washed up on the western shores of Verucchi -during their absence, part of the coastline sank into the sea- causing a deep impression and initial awe to the natives, who initially saw them as gods. Because of this, they limited contact for a time.

Due to their small numbers and inability to rebuild their civilization, the Feles Ancients made the decision to live alongside the native felines and pass on to them some basic knowledge to bring them into civilization, such as agriculture, animal husbandry, construction, metallurgy, and other arts and crafts. The kats, grateful for the teachings of the Ancients, lived with them in harmony for several centuries, giving them the name of "Ancient Masters". Aware that their small numbers would not allow them to rebuild their civilization, and that it was time to give the baton to younger species, they inoculated several kats with the ATA gene, with a success rate of 35% of those involved, in the hope that in the future, their descendants would use their knowledge and technology correctly.

Over the years, the Ancients spread across the planet, planting the seeds of future civilizations or seeking a spiritual retreat in search of Ascension. Shortly before their complete disappearance, they submerged the city-ship of Feles in the ocean, promising the kats that when the time came, that city and all its treasures would be their legacy.

Centuries later, the memory of the Ancients faded almost completely from the collective mind of the kats, except for a small group of isolated tribes that kept their memory and genetic legacy alive.

Goa'uld Era. Between 8,500 B.C. to 3,000 B.C.
Spoiler:
At a certain point, the Goa'uld Bastet discovered the planet, which she named Mye'yu -as well as its native species-, subdued its population by pretending to be a goddess, something easy to do thanks to the fact that her host at that time was another feline species known as Sekhmet. Shortly thereafter, The Supreme System Lord Ra would discover the Ta'uri -to Earth and humans- and establish them as standard hosts for all Goa'uld, which forced Bastet to change hosts and wear a mask to hide her lack of feline features.

Their capital, Zagazh, was established near the site of the Stargate -relocated in a subterranean chamber beneath the Great Pyramid- founding a great city. She thus established Mye'yu as her personal planet and the kats as her exclusive property, which in any case did not attract the interest of any other System Lord.

Although in several respects more benevolent than other Goa'uld, for over five thousand years Bastet enslaved the kats, keeping them in a crude Copper Age, using them as labor for the crystal and trinium mines of the planet, and took thousands -and then millions- of slaves through the Stargate to other planets in his empire for the extraction of other resources such as Naquadah, founding veritable colonies that would spawn new societies. Even her ally, the System Lord Kali, established a small domain on an island continent that in the future would be known as Bhurakistan, although she never paid much attention to it.

Five thousand years after her arrival, faced with the discovery of Ancient technology, and that some kats could manipulate it, Bastet took some precautionary measures: she devised a device that could locate the ATA gene, subjected many kats who for centuries had jealously guarded the memory of the Ancients, to unimaginable tortures and mass executions in an attempt to unveil any knowledge of Ancient technology to Bastet, whom the victims clearly saw as unworthy. In the absence of results, she made the desperate decision to order the search for and murder of all those who possessed the ATA gene, massacring even children and newborns, shattering her image as a benevolent goddess.

These actions -but above all the slaughter of innocents- enraged the kats and increased the discontent, being the germ of a resistance group that a quarter of a century later, would end up expelling her: one day, a group of rebels invaded the capital, took Bastet's palace and the Great Pyramid, forcing her to leave the planet in her ship. The rebels massacred the servants, priestesses and Bast Guard -Bastet's Jaffa warriors- and smashed the DHD of the Stargate, sealed the gate chamber and left the city of Zagazh, hoping that the false goddess would never return.

Unbeknownst to them, Bastet sent a small group of Jaffa warriors through the gate to investigate the state of the planet; they would eventually die of starvation as they were trapped in the gate chamber with no chance of returning. In the absence of news, Bastet abandoned the planet to its fate, knowing that it still possessed other worlds with slaves -kats and humans- at her disposal.

The Dark Age. Between 3,000 BC to 2,000 BC.
Spoiler:
The liberation of the kats from Bastet's rule was soon marred by the ensuing reigning anarchy: tribal leaders emerged, jostling for power, who rejected everything the false goddess had brought them, including the basics of civilization such as sedentary life or language; in less than a couple of centuries, all of the planet fell into barbarism, except for the island-continent of Bhurakistan, where a small group of priestesses had managed to flee to continue the cult of their goddess, remaining the only beacon of civilization, isolated from the rest of the world.

The city of Zagazh, abandoned for centuries, would end up being occupied and renamed by various tribes and civilizations until it became known in the future as Katchu Picchu.

Unbeknownst to the kats, Bastet returned to the planet in the company of a minor Goa'uld, a Yu’s Underlord named Li Shou, who specialized in psychohistory, who assured her that if the kats continued on this anarchic course, they would return to the Stone Age in less than a millennium. Pleased by that answer -in resentment with those felines- Bastet left the planet never to return and focus her attention on her other domains and her war against Sokar.

It was then that almost a thousand years after Bastet's escape, a kat woman who had known the Ancients and had ascended called Kassiopeia, descended to the mortal plane and began to spread a new faith based on the Book of Origin, omitting the bloodiest parts of it and retaining the essential ideas of its philosophy. From what was to become known as Osman, the new doctrine gained strength among the kats hungry for guidance and hope, slowly displacing Basteism until it was reduced to isolated communities and the island-continent of Bhurakistan. By the time Kassiopeia disappeared -ascended again to the Higher Planes- new civilizations had begun to emerge, ending nearly a thousand years of the Dark Age.

The change was such that almost all cultures adopted a new calendar, taking as year 0 the beginning of Kassiopeia's ministry. Even the world acquired its present name, Phellus, as a deformation of the name of the Ancient city-ship, Felis.

In time, only a few isolated tribes scattered throughout Phellus would keep alive the memory of the Ancients' existence in the form of ancient legends, while the highest levels of Basteism would keep the true nature of their goddess secret as her memory faded from the rest of the world.

Kat Era. Between about 2,000 B.C. and the present day.
Spoiler:
From that moment on, new kat civilizations began to flourish and spread throughout the world. Even against the rules of the ascended beings, Kassiopeia began to very subtly manipulate the kats, subconsciously inculcating and inserting Earth's own cultural elements -languages, science, customs, etc.- in order to prevent them from regressing into barbarism: in the years of the Dark Age, the kats had lost practically every cultural element of their own, and had rejected everything or almost everything that had come with Bastet -except for his followers in Bhurakistan-. She also did this with the aim that in the distant future, possible contact between humans and kats would be simpler and more harmonious.

In this way, and passing through several ages, from the Copper Age to the Iron Age, civilizations and cultures analogous to Earth were being formed all over Phellus: Kheneth, Sinar, Zelucia, Danao, Tiberia, Bhuran, Celica, Mishima, Kusctlan, Quispe...

By 2950 A.K. (year 965 A.D.), in the middle of the Middle Ages, the first circumnavigation of the world was completed, and the most powerful kingdoms of the Yuronda continent (Tiagon, Mercia, Liore, Algave and Nassau) began an era of exploration, discovery and colonization of new lands, such as the Verucchi and Viperia continents. Around 3049 A.K. the Megalithic City was founded as a feudal kingdom that was part of the Mercian Empire.

In the middle of the Enlightenment Age, around 3737 A.K., several Mercian colonies in Verucchi rebelled against Mercia, starting the War of Independence that culminated with the birth of the Federated States of Muricia. Years later, around 3790 A.K., the Megawar I (originally, The Megawar) would begin, which would involve both the nascent Muricia and the Empires of the Yuronda continent and the decadent Celican Empire and would last ten years, leaving more than fifty million dead, the rise of Muricia and Mishima as world powers and the beginning of the decadence of the Yurondan empires.

During the interwar period, the Industrial Revolution began, with the emergence of the steam engine and the inventions derived from it, improving the quality of life of the kats and initiating an important demographic explosion. At the end of this period, which lasted almost a century, the exploitation of oil, the invention of the internal combustion engine and the first heavier-than-air flights began.

Nearly one hundred years after the end of the Megawar I, around 3924 A.K., the Megawar II would begin, with Muricia, the Ostovan Socialist Union, the Great Berkan Reich, the Mercian Empire and the Empire of Mishima, as well as many other minor nations, as the main participants. Towards the end of this conflict, sporadic Berkan attacks on the west coast of Muricia led to the founding of the paramilitary force of the Enforcers in Megakat City.

The war lasted twenty years and spanned almost the entire world, leaving as a result one hundred million dead, a devastated continent of Yuronda, its nations ruined, a consolidated Mishimese Empire on the continent of Kathay. With all nations exhausted, and independence movements being born in various colonies, in 3945 A.K. the World Congress of Phellus was founded, to not only ensure peace and prosperity among the nations, but also a new world order, based on a political division based on the establishment of Eight Superstates that would be equal to each other within the World Congress.

Formed through the enlargement, annexation and restructuring of nations, the superstates would be: The Federated States of Muricia (annexing Mercia and its colonies in Verucchi), the Sucretian Union (Tiagon island plus the republics that were once of its empire in Viperia, Kusctlan and Merida), the Yurondan Federation (with all the nations of Yuronda except Tiagon and Mercia), the Aoteronesian Commonwealth (former Mercian colonies that broke away from the empire), the United Kingdoms of Osman (nations of the Shezad continent), the Mishimese Empire (keeping its empire almost intact in Kathay), the Federal Republic of Bhurakistan (until then, a collection of kingdoms dominated by Mercia in the homonymous continent), and the Wokondan Confederacy (former Yurondan colonies of the homonymous continent).

After the war, and despite the mutual aid for the reconstruction, it did not take long to unleash a real Cold War full of political, economic and technological rivalry between Muricia, Yuronda and Mishima, of which the other superstates either took sides or remained neutral: the space race began, the first manned moon landing occurred in 3968 A.K. by Muricia, followed by Yuronda and Mishima, and soon the Cold War ended, with a greater rapprochement between the superstates, guaranteeing above all peace to this day.

Society and Culture

Phellus is possibly the planet most similar -if not identical- to Earth in terms of its society and culture, mostly because of external interventions. Phellus is at a similar cultural, technological -and social- level to the Earth of the first half of the 1990s.

While it is identical to Earth, it is much less multicultural due to the effect of much stronger globalization than on Earth during, between and after the two mega-wars, causing the extinction of numerous minor individual languages and cultures. The eight superstates have achieved, to a greater or lesser degree, a cultural identity of their own over and above that of their constituent nations.

Phellusian societies are highly divided by several factors, including governments, religion, economics and contrasting ideological factors. While some cultures experience extreme wealth and the associated quality of life, many others live in extreme poverty with questionable access to even the basic necessities of survival.

1. Politics.

Phellus is divided into eight nations or superstates that can be identified with some geographic and cultural region of the Earth:
Spoiler:
- Federated States of Muricia: a nation analogous to the Anglo-American bloc and very similar to the United States, it is one of the main global superpowers, which ended up annexing its former metropolis Mercia and some of its colonies shortly after the Megawar II. Diverse landscapes, large cities, rural villages, vast expanses of countryside and desert, a medieval history inherited from its former metropolis. It is an economic, industrial and entertainment power.

- Federation of Yuronda: Superstate analogous to the European Union and Russia, formed by the federation of the former kingdoms and republics of the Yuronda continent -including Ostova and Berka- which were devastated after the Megawar II. It is famous for its cities steeped in history and architectural monuments, its numerous languages, its welfare state, its aristocratic nobility, and for pioneering the use of renewable energies and innovation in various fields of science and culture.

- Union of Sucretia: A superstate formed by the nations that were once part of the Tiagonese Empire, it has similarities with Ibero-America, the Iberian Peninsula and the South of Italy. It has numerous tourist destinations both in the architecture of its cities with glimpses of the imperial era and the current era, impressive natural landscapes and its love of soccer and bullfighting. It is a growing economic and industrial power, as well as an important cultural center.

- Commonwealth of Aoteronesia: Formed by former Mercian colonies that broke away from their metropolis during the Megawar II, Aoteronesia is a carbon copy of Australasia and the Pacific Rim on Earth. Made up of numerous islands of various sizes and climates -from tropical rainforests, cold forests and even deserts- it has the highest quality of life and standard of living on the planet. Its inhabitants love sports, especially water sports.

- Empire of Mishima: Similar to the Japanese Empire during World War II and the rest of East Asia, Mishima has managed to keep its empire intact after the Megawar II and is a combination of millenary traditions and advanced technology, being a pioneer in technologies such as robotics, computing, transportation and engineering, as well as in entertainment -manga, anime and Mi-Pop-. This is reflected in the cities of the main archipelago and overseas provinces, which are quite futuristic compared to the rest of the nations, where there are huge skyscrapers, maglev trains and even robotic assistants, in contrast to the forested landscapes, rice fields and mountains. The rest of the empire is more underdeveloped.

- United Kingdoms of Osman: Equivalent to the nations of the Middle East -before the Islamic revolutions of the 1970s- it is a federal monarchy composed of several once-independent kingdoms on the arid continent of Shezad, that are quite respectful of their customs without giving up the comforts of modern life. Initially with an economy based on the oil industry, it is now more diversified thanks to agricultural and industrial production. Unlike its counterpart on Earth, religion does not play such a strong role in the daily life of the Osmanis.

- Federal Republic of Bhurakistan: Superstate comprising the island-continent of the same name, formerly divided into numerous independent kingdoms that were eventually unified at the end of the Megawar II. Although it finds its terrestrial relative in the Indian subcontinent, its culture, customs and art are a hodgepodge of Indian and Ancient Egyptian culture; its cities are bustling, noisy and picturesque, although some are quite polluted. It is characterized by its spicy food, its peculiar cinematographic industry and to be the only superstate with a majority basteist population.

- Confederacy of Wokonda: A superstate formed by former colonies of several Yuronda nations on the homonymous continent, it is the kat equivalent of Sub-Saharan Africa, and is the poorest of the eight nations, although in a much more stable and developed position than its human counterpart. Its variety of landscapes and wildlife have encouraged safari tourism, industry is on the rise, and the old conflicts between the ancient tribes have mostly ceased.
Spoiler:
EIGHT EARTH_PHELLUS SUPER-STATES 2.4.3.2.png
At the same time, the Eight Superstates are equal members of the World Congress of Phellus (also named Phellus World Congress), an organization analogous to Earth's United Nations, and which has several organizations called Global Ministries that make it a de facto, sort of global government with little power, though with more clout than the UN on Earth. Some of these Global Ministries (GloMin, colloquially known) are: Education and Culture, Science and Technology, Economy and Finance, Industry and Labor, Agriculture and Food, Health and Welfare, Social Security, Environment, among others.

The World Congress is led by the President of the Congress, who has a role similar to that of the Secretary General of the United Nations. In addition, each nation has its own laws.

The founding of the Phellus World Congress established new rules in international politics, such as that no minor nation can exist outside the Eight Superstates, and belong to the World Congress; it can only request to be transferred to another superstate and only through negotiation of those involved.

While all Eight Superstates are democratically governed, the type and level of democracy varies from state to state, as does the level of corruption within each superstate's government: in Muricia and in almost all states, all citizens have the right to vote, while in Mishima, subject nations could not until recently vote for the Prime Minister of the empire; in Yuronda, the parliamentary system is sometimes criticized as too bureaucratic; in Wokonda, the level of corruption in some member states reaches alarming levels; and in Bhurakistan the weight of religion is enormous, despite being officially a secular state.

Following the founding of the World Congress of Phellus and the creation of the Eight Superstates, democracy, free market economy, freedom of expression, freedom of worship and respect for feline rights were established as fundamental principles, while communism, fascism, religious fundamentalism and discrimination were condemned and banned.

2. Economy

Phellus is a planet at the beginning of an informatic revolution and with a diversified economy in the three sectors: primary, secondary and tertiary or services. Each nation or superstate maintains its own currency, and since the founding of the World Congress, there are no tariffs, so there is free trade among the eight nations.

The use of a global currency has been proposed, but support for such an idea is very poor.

Agriculture and livestock produce all types of plant and animal foods: wheat, corn, rice, potatoes, as well as fruits and vegetables are among the main crops; while cattle, pigs, sheep and chicken farming produce all types of meat, milk and by-products; fishing activity is also quite important, including fish farming.

Mining extracts all types of minerals and metals for industrial use and jewelry, such as copper, nickel, iron, aluminum, precious metals, rare earths and jewelry; fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas and petroleum are also exploited. It is also important to highlight the extraction of agracite.

Factories produce all types of consumer products, machinery, vehicles and others. The service sector is quite developed. Big cities like Rotherville, Jacobshire, Frederickburg, Katanaga, Benditos Vientos and Port Rashid are important centers of business and finance.

Officially, Muricia, Yuronda, Aoteronesia and the main Mishimese archipelago and overseas provinces are considered developed nations, Sucretia, Osman and the Mishima’s subject nations are considered emerging nations, and Bhurakistan and Wokonda are considered developing nations (or Third World), although their situation is improving slightly.

3. Technology

At the engineering level, there is not much difference with Earth: the materials and construction methods are virtually the same, with a few exceptions. The tallest building on Phellus is the Chrysanthemum Tower in Katanaga, the Mishimese capital, and it is 600 meters high. The existence of agracite implies alloys different from those known on Earth, which are also used in civil and military constructions, military vehicles and weapons.

Regarding means of transportation, the main ones are land vehicles with internal combustion engines such as automobiles and motorcycles, as well as airplanes and ships, all propelled by fuels derived from petroleum; the use of ethanol or biodiesel barely exists in Sucretia, while electric motors are still in the experimental phase. Diesel and electric trains are in common use, while in Mishima maglev and bullet trains are in common use. Apart from conventional aircraft, supersonic passenger planes are also in common use in developed nations, considered luxury flights.

In the field of electronics, the use of personal computers and cellular telephony is in its incipient stages and has not yet become widespread, digital television is still experimental, beepers are still in use, as are VCRs and tape recorders, and CDs are just beginning to become popular. Nor does the Internet or the like exist yet.

As for energy production, the use of fossil fuels is still important: both oil for the land transportation system and natural gas for heating, although coal consumption is much lower than on Earth, and is in decline. The main sources of electricity production are hydroelectric and nuclear, followed far behind by the burning of oil, gas or coal, while renewable sources such as solar and wind are still in minority and experimental use, and geothermal is used only in some specific locations where geological conditions permit. It should be noted that the use of nuclear energy has expanded to all eight nations, and despite the dangers it poses, as well as the radioactive waste, the kats trust it much more than humans and see its replacement or disappearance in the medium or long term as unrealistic.

In aerospace, there is a complex network of weather, telecommunications and military satellites in Phellus orbit, as well as a space telescope, co-owned by Muricia and Yuronda. Each superstate has its own space agency, with MASA (Muricia), YSA (Yuronda) and MAXA (Mishima) standing out as the most important and advanced, with all three having an operational space station each in Phellus orbit, while Sucretia and Bhurakistan have initiated the construction of their own. The three agencies mentioned above achieved successful manned lunar landings between 3968 A.K. and 3977 A.K., in addition to sending interplanetary probes for solar system exploration. To date, the kats have not yet discovered extrasolar planets, and are unaware of the Iovis ecosystem.

Despite this, there are some notable achievements that set it apart from Earth, at least that of that era: the use of laser weapons by the military and law enforcement forces such as the police or Enforcers is more widespread, though not entirely displacing firearms. Mishima stands out for its advanced robotics industry, applying it in the development of medical units, service robots or consultation robots in information centers; some have even developed a crude artificial intelligence. Some high-tech companies, such as PumaDyne of Muricia, have developed holograms, force fields, electric suits capable of transmuting the user into energy, and even a neural interface system, although the latter are at an experimental level.

The transfer of consciousness to a robotic body or a computer has also been achieved, although in a marginal and ethically questionable way.

4. Army

The eight superstates have their respective Armed Forces, divided into three main branches: Army, Air Force and Navy; although the World Congress forbids the use of weapons in space, there are already proposals for the possibility of a space branch in several nations. Military technology is much the same as on Earth except that there is greater use of laser weapons.

Currently the armies of Muricia, Yuronda and Mishima are the most powerful, and along with Sucretia and Bhurakistan, are the only ones to possess nuclear weapons; Aoteronesia has renounced them as an act to mediate for peace, and the other two do not manufacture them both for moral reasons and lack of resources to do so.

Each nation has its own military unit of special forces or elite forces, among them the Murician Rangers, the Sucretian New Tercios, the Yurondan Praetorians, among others.

It should be noted that there have been no armed conflicts between the superstates since the Megawar II, and so far the armies are limited to defending the territorial integrity of their nations, while the Special Forces are those destined to carry out operations abroad with prior agreement between the governments involved. Every four years the Global Military Games are held, a kind of Olympics for the armies.

There are also some paramilitary forces within each country for exceptional cases and that respond directly to the department or ministry of their government related to the army: this is the case of the Enforcers of Megakat City, whose origin is due both to the threat of attack by enemy forces during the Megawar II and the high rate of crime -and strange events- in the city. The Enforcers answer directly to the Murician Department of Defense and much of their funding comes from it.

5. Language.

Almost all the languages spoken in Phellus are some of the most widely spoken on Earth, with a few exceptions. There are also languages of different origin such as Bast, which is a Goa'uld dialect similar to ancient Egyptian and used in the Basteist liturgy. Some isolated tribes also speak the last original kats languages, and those who practice the Cult of the Ancient Masters know a dialect of the Ancient language.

In contrast to Earth, which has more than 4,000 languages, on Phellus there are just over 200, of which twenty to thirty represent almost 99% of the most widely spoken languages; the others are languages -mostly of kat origin- that are on the verge of disappearing under the pressure of globalization and cultural homogenization of the superstates.

Among the twenty most spoken languages are the eight official languages of the World Congress of Phellus: Mercian, Tiagonese, Liorese, Berkan, Ostovan, Osmani, Mishimese and Bhurani. Other languages of note are: Celican, Tiberan, Wasalandic, Algavese, Zeluci and Zani.

In general, the Earth languages spoken in Phellus are identical to their human counterparts, although the latter sometimes present some variations, such as a greater use of the letter "K" or the replacement of the term "hand" by "paw".

6. Religion.

Most of the Phellusian kats profess some religion, although their life is remarkably secular in character, showing a definite separation between Religion and State, as well as in daily life. Except for Bhurakistan, which is a special case.

The main kat religions are the Kassiopeism and the Basteism, being others the Cult to the Ancient Masters and the Cult to Quetzalcoatl.
There are also numerous animist beliefs among the isolated tribes that are of little importance. There is also an important atheist and agnostic population.

All Phellusian religions, except for the vast majority of animistic ones, are the result of direct or indirect interaction of the kats with aliens in the remote past whose memory has been almost completely lost.

Kassiopeism
Spoiler:
Approximately 62% of the Kats are practically of Kassiopeism, a religion founded by the prophetess Kassiopeia almost four thousand years ago and based mainly on self-improvement and love for others, very similar to Christianity and Buddhism. In fact, the figure of Kassiopeia shares many similarities with those of Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed to a certain extent.

Over the years, Kassiopeism divided into three main branches that have few differences from each other, except for details such as the focus of their practice: Yurondan Kassiopeism, similar to Christianity and focused on the teachings of love of neighbor; Osmani Kassiopeism, similar to Islam and more focused on customs and Kassiopeia's role as a political leader and prophetess; and Mishimese Kassiopeism, focused on Kassiopeia's role as a spiritual guide on the path to transcendence through meditation.

The sacred text of Kassiopeism as a whole is the Book of Kassiopeia, which is a modified version of the Book of Origin. There is no complex hierarchy as in Catholicism: only ministers, spiritual guides and monks who perform religious services and guard the sacred relics and temples, which can be churches, mosques or pagodas. There is the sanctification of important figures who have stood out for their missionary work or the performance of miracles; hence the term "holy kats".

Mention is also made of the existence of a single true God, creator of all existence, and whose representative would be Kassiopeia, but his role in the religion itself is in the background.

The symbol of Kassiopeism is a solar disk extending its rays downward within a larger circle.
Basteism
Spoiler:
Basteism is practiced by 14% of the phellusian kat population, and almost all of its practitioners are located in Bhurakistan, although there are significant Basteist communities in other countries. The religion, also known as the Bastet Cult, originated with the arrival of Bastet in Phellus more than ten thousand years ago, but the structure of the present religion itself is five thousand years old after the exodus of the last priestesses to Bhurakistan.

Although it was once widespread throughout the planet, the cult of Bastet disappeared in most of the rest of the world due to the spread of Kassiopeism, which, unlike what happened in Bhurakistan, was a more primitive religion, barely organized, and sometimes adept at reprehensible practices such as feline sacrifices.

According to this religion, Bastet is the Mother Goddess of the kats, to whom they owe not only moral norms and civilization, but life itself, so they must worship and respect her to be blessed in life and be taken to her celestial kingdom in Bubastis when they die; otherwise, they will be victims of her divine fury. The cult also establishes Ra as the Heavenly Father, Kali as the "sister and shadow" of Bastet and representative of her wrath, and Sokar as her enemy and god of evil and king of hell or Ne'tu. In any case, only Bastet is the center of devotion, leaving the others as minor deities.

The Basteist religion is organized, with numerous traditions and rites, and highly hierarchical, with an indefinite number of priestesses in the numerous temples, shrines and chapels, and a High Priestess as head of the Cult and representative of the Goddess in the world, taking a role similar to the Catholic Pope, with an equivalent to the Swiss guard in the Bast Guards, who follow the example of their original Jaffa counterparts to some extent.

The sacred city of Basteism is Warat, and the center of the Cult is the Sacred Pyramid of Warat, over two hundred meters high and clad entirely in gold. In its interior resides the High Priestess and the sacred relics of Bastet hidden to the profane public, which in most cases, are pieces of Goa'uld technology whose true nature is known only to the High Priestess and some priestesses of high hierarchy.

The symbol of Basteism is that of a domestic cat profile, the same symbol of the System Lord Bastet.
Spoiler:
Image
Quetzalcoatl's Cult

The Cult of Quetzalcoatl is practiced by barely 0.2% of the population, and is found only in Sucretia, centered in Kusctlan, southern Merida and the Quispe’s mountains, and is centered on the figure of Quetzalcoatl, an ancient alien of the Omeyocan species who played the role of instructor and civilizing god to the kats of the region to fight against the more extremist factions of the Cult of Bastet who performed brutal feline sacrifices. Curiously, unlike what happened on Earth, Quetzalcoatl was never offered sacrifices of this type, since they were strictly forbidden.

Currently, some of his worshippers have syncretized his cult with Kassiopeism, but both religions coexist peacefully. As expected, the symbol of this cult is the Feathered Serpent coiled on itself as an Ouroboros.

Cult of the Ancient Masters

Religion practiced by 5% of the population, and is seen by the kats as an animistic type of belief similar to those practiced by other isolated tribes on the planet. In reality, it is a vestige of the last memory of some kat tribes about the existence of the Ancients, their presence on Phellus and their technology. Unfortunately, most of its history has been disfigured to the point of becoming legend, and many are unaware of the nature of its relics... or pretend to be unaware of it in order to keep potentially dangerous onlookers away.

The cult itself is summarized in seeing the Ancients as civilizing and spiritual masters who are honored in memory but not worshipped as gods. This religion has no hierarchy, is scattered around the world in isolated tribes and has as its symbol a kind of snowflake, which is a view from above of the city-ship of the Ancients.

Atheism and agnosticism

Approximately 14% of the population of Phellus does not practice any religion per se and declares itself agnostic or atheist. This number has been increasing since the Enlightenment Age, mainly in Muricia and Yuronda.

7. Culture and Curiosities.

As mentioned before, Phellus is practically identical to Earth in social, cultural and technological terms, which is reflected in its lifestyle. This does not prevent, however, that there are notable differences given its feline nature or its past history, being Bhurakistan the most outstanding case in comparison to its human counterpart.

Another detail is the enormous weight of Bastet in kat culture: despite not currently being worshipped by the vast majority of the kats, her weight in culture is equivalent to that of the Greco-Roman gods in Western culture on Earth, inspiring countless festive events, works of art, literature, music, films and even television series.
Spoiler:
- Some words have a different spelling due to the use -or abuse- of the letter "k".
- Phellusian kats also call the galaxy the Milky Way. Other galaxies have different names, such as "Lynx Eye" (Triangle Galaxy), The Cloud Sisters (Magellanic Clouds) and "Kasiopea" (Andromeda Galaxy).
- At some point in history, shortly after the flight of Bastet, the kats began to learn the use of magic. Real magic, not advanced science.
- The strange events that occur in Megakat City seem not to occur in the rest of Phellus, so despite being one of the most important cities in Muricia, it seems to be little taken into account due to its reputation of being "the center of everything strange" in the world.
- The kats call their hands "paws", which causes some words to be different from Earth, such as "handball" becomes "pawball". However, words like "manual" still exist.
- Because of their anatomy, some human expressions vary, such as "High-four" instead of high-five, "I'll cover your tail" instead of back, "Fangs pain" instead of teeth, "Paw to paw fight" instead of hand to hand.
- "Holy Kats" is used as a replacement for "Holy cow", "Good Heaven" or "My God".
- Wasalandic is basically Old Norse, and employs the runic alphabet.
- Ostovan, equivalent to Russian, abandoned the Cyrillic alphabet fifty years ago, although it is still used and studied in some sectors of society.
- In Yuronda, but especially in Ostova, communist symbols are forbidden and their display is severely punished by law.
- Milk and fish are important parts of the kats' diet, so the milk and fish industries are quite well developed in all eight nations.
- The most popular beverages among the kats, after water, are milk, tea and coffee. Alcoholic beverages include beer, wine and cider.
- There is carbonated milk as a popular drink, almost at the same rank as soda.
- There is also a similar to champagne, called "sparkling milk", which comes in various flavors (natural, red fruits, vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon with honey) and is considered sophisticated.
- Until about a thousand years ago, rats and mice were consumed as food by the kats. Successive waves of bubonic plague and millions of victims possibly had something to do with this change in diet.
- Vegetarianism is extremely rare, and little recommended, for while kats are practically omnivorous and like humans can consume plant-based foods, their origins as a carnivorous species prevent them from following a strictly vegan diet; at best, ovolacto-vegetarianism, or lacto-vegetarianism, is followed.
- Katnip is the most widely circulated illegal drug -analogous to marijuana in humans- and its use is socially reprehensible; no nation has considered legalizing its use.
- As on Earth, many celebrities are known to be clandestine consumers of katnip.
- On the other hand, marijuana is another drug that circulates in the most disadvantaged sectors, but whose effects are much stronger, and which is highly harmful -and even fatal- for the kats, being for them similar to crack or heroin in humans.
- The most played sport among the kats is soccer, followed by rugby, volleyball, swimming and tennis. Baseball is played only in Muricia and Mishima, cricket is the national sport in Bhurakistan and rugby is the national sport in Aoteronesia. Basketball and "Murician football" are only played in Muricia and are not as popular as on Earth.
- Bullfighting is very popular in Sucretia and the Yurondan country of Danao; in Phellusian bullfighting, the bull is not killed.
- There is an equivalent to the Olympic Games, called the Bubastic Games, which in ancient times were held in honor of Bastet.
- There is also an event analogous to Oktoberfest that originated in Bhurakistan as a "festival of drunkenness" dedicated to honor Bastet, which also existed on Earth. Nowadays there are variants in every nation, with its particular name, and with the same excuse of celebrating and drinking in abundance.
- The figure of Kassiopeia has also had its weight in cultural manifestations throughout the centuries, in the same way that the figure of Jesus has had in Western culture. Unlike the figure of Mohammed, her artistic representation is not forbidden.
- Interestingly, the religious figures of Bastet and Kassiopeia are not usually shown antagonistic to each other in works of fiction.
- Although Bhurakistan has a major film industry, Muricia and Mishima are the leading exponents of world entertainment, closely followed by Yuronda.
- In Phellus, there are no domestic cats and dogs; only wild versions of them. On the other hand, besides goldfish, turtles, canaries and parrots, raccoons and otters are the most common pets of the kats, fulfilling the roles of cats and dogs respectively. Another pet, more for the upper classes, are ferrets.
- Phellus’ domestic otters have less dependence on water than their wild counterparts; in fact, they were domesticated millennia ago to help the kats obtain fish. Raccoons, on the other hand, began to be domesticated when they were attracted to the waste produced by kats in primitive societies.
- Kat children tend to be very destructive at an early age because of the emergence and growth of their teeth and claws, so it is not uncommon for them to use scratching posts and chew toys.
- Until about two hundred years ago, kats used sandboxes as potties; the advent of indoor plumbing put an end to that custom.
- Kat fashion is much the same as it exists on Earth, with the only notable differences being four-fingered gloves, hats with ear slits, and pants and dresses with tail slits.
- Tattoos as such are uncommon, as the somewhat painful process involves injecting the ink into the skin after shaving off part of the fur, which eventually as it grows, acquires the color of the tattoo. Body painting is more common, especially in Aoteronesia.
- In Bhurakistan and Osman there is a custom of using eye makeup to protect from the sun, similar to Ancient Egypt.
- In Mishima, Bhurakistan and Aoteronesia it drives on the left side; in the other nations it is done on the right side.
- The act of showing all teeth and gums in a threatening manner is considered aggressive, insulting and uncivilized among the kats. Formerly this gesture was used by primitive kats to ward off enemies.
- Bastet is depicted as a kat woman who sometimes has a tail and sometimes does not, but always has five fingers on her paws, not four.
- Polydactyly is considered a divine trait in Bhurakistan, as the goddess Bastet herself seemed to suffer from it. Almost all Bhurakistani women who suffer from it eventually become priestesses.
- In the past, kats with dark or black fur and yellow sclera were discriminated against as bad luck carriers. In some cultures, the opposite is true for those suffering from albinism.
- Sphinx-bred kats have barely noticeable fur, presenting an uncovered and wrinkled skin appearance, and are found unpleasant by many other kats.
- In Bhurakistan, snakes are sacred animals, with a rank even higher than that of wild cats and felines.
- The societies of what is now Bhurakistan were matriarchal most of the time due to the weight of basteism. Even today, only women can be priestesses or Bast Guards.
- This feature of Bhurakistan's ancient matriarchal society is a source of discrimination by other nations as an archaic trait.
- Suffragist and women's liberation movements occurred in Phellus at about the same time as on Earth. Women soon came to occupy important positions of power, such as the chancellor of Yuronda or the empress of Mishima. Apparently, the Salic Law was abolished in Phellus a long time ago.
- Although women have been allowed to enlist in the army for several decades, it is still rare.
- Abortion is completely legal only in Muricia, Aoteronesia and parts of Yuronda; in the other nations it is highly regulated. In any case, it remains highly stigmatized, as both Kassiopeism and Basteism value the life of children.
- Unlike on Earth, homosexuality has never been condemned by any religion; although in the case of Basteism, male homosexuality was considered distasteful and female homosexuality was tolerated. However, over the centuries it was socially and culturally frowned upon, as a homosexual relationship prevented the formation of a family with children, and with the advent of sexually transmitted diseases, the situation worsened.
- Today, society is more tolerant and open, and all governments condemn all types of discrimination and do not allow laws condemning homosexuality, although it is still a taboo subject in society. However, homosexual marriage is not legal in any country, as it does not even exist as a plausible concept, similar to the idea of the legalization of katnip: it is simply too difficult or even impossible for kats to imagine such a thing.
- The death penalty is only completely abolished in Aoteronesia; the other nations keep it in force.

8. Internal Problems

Despite the success in avoiding international conflicts since its founding, and the efforts of the World Congress and the superstates themselves to improve the quality of life for kats around the world, major problems remain in the Phellus: among them economic inequality, which is reflected in the slums of the big cities, most notably Bhurakistan, Osman and Wokonda. Then there is corruption: all eight nations have a fairly large state apparatus, which allows many politicians to act with impunity in violation of the law, even though the judiciary works tirelessly to punish them.

There is also the problem of crime: in all eight nations there are criminal gangs, some of them quite well known, engaged in robbery, extortion, swindling, arms, drugs and people trafficking.

Then there is the problem of global warming and pollution, the effects of which are beginning to be felt in various parts of the world.

Although fifty years have passed since its end, the consequences of the Megawar II are still in force, and sometimes nations request help and technical assistance to solve their problems, with Muricia being the main actor and "world policeman" thanks to its Ranger Special Forces.

It should be remembered that of the Eight Superstates, only Muricia and Mishima existed as independent nation-states before the Megawar II, the others being the result of the federation or union of several nations after the conflict, so naturally there are still old frictions from the past and differences to be resolved.
Spoiler:
- Wokonda: after the Megawar II, several communist hierarchs chose this continent as a refuge, instilling their ideology in isolated tribes and communities suspicious of their independence and opposed to the World Congress, forming authentic guerrilla movements and warlords in the most remote parts of the continent, taking villages and enslaving their inhabitants to exploit resources to finance themselves. Several separatist movements also stand out.

- Bhurakistan: Religious conflicts between the Basteists and the Kasiopeists are common among the most fundamentalist sectors of both religions. There are also certain political and religious movements of supremacist tendency that seek to establish a basteist theocracy in Bhurakistan, relegating the kasiopeists to second place.

- Osman: As in neighboring Bhurakistan, there are religious conflicts in which Basteism is in the minority. Xenophobic groups against Bhurakistanis and ultra-nationalist movements wary of preserving their culture have also emerged. Royal families from the oil sectors have also found themselves at the center of controversy for their excessively luxurious lifestyles and financing megalomaniacal works. There are also the nomadic communities, who reject the existence of the unified Osmani government.

- Mishima: Despite government reforms implemented thirty years ago that gave the empire's subject nations more autonomy in their internal affairs and greater participation in government, separatist and terrorist movements remain. Then there is the conflict of the Fernandinas Islands, who request to join Sucretia, which remains unresolved. It also highlights the strong influence that the Yakuza have in society, even in the government and the imperial family, constituting a latent threat. But the biggest problem is represented by the Blood Chrysanthemum movement, an ultranationalist and supremacist movement that seeks to have Mishima adopt the system prior to the Megawar II, one more assertive and dominant with the subject nations, and more decisive against the other superstates.

- Aoteronesia: Arguably the most peaceful of the eight nations, and with fewer internal problems. At the moment, except for minor crime problems, its main concern is the effects of global warming.

- Sucretia: Has the same problems as Wokonda in terms of former communist and fascist hierarchs who fled Yuronda after the Megawar II and took refuge in its territory. Criminal gangs engaged in arms and drug trafficking, sometimes heavily armed, are also a problem.

- Yuronda: After Aoteronesia, it is the most peaceful nation with the least criminal problems, but clashes between the citizens of the former nation-states that make it up are common, as well as certain neo-fascist and neo-communist groups, the influence of certain mafias in the poorer sectors, and separatist groups in the poorer nation-states of the Federation. Another frequent complaint is the high bureaucracy in the government.

- Muricia: Due to the fact that it emerged as a superstate after the annexation -previously friendly and successful negotiations- of Mercia and its colonies in Verucchi, internal conflicts and separatist movements are non-existent thanks to its better integration; this stability makes that Muricia's help is requested in other countries to fight their own. This does not take away the fact that Muricia has its own problems, such as organized crime in some cities like Megakat City, economic and social inequality, political corruption, and above all, the influence of the White Owl, a secret society of supremacist dye and Manifest Destiny complex that pulls its strings within the government to have greater control of the country.

9. Alien presence.

Despite having had an alien presence for thousands, if not millions of years, evidence of it is extremely scarce on Phellus.

After millions of years of geological, meteorological and biological activity, almost no trace of the presence of the Ancients remains: all their cities have disappeared and all traces of their technology have been destroyed or buried. The exceptions are certain sacred sites such as subway galleries within "natural" formations and the pieces of technology that some isolated tribes venerate and jealously guard, the Stargate itself, which remains intact inside a subway chamber beneath the Great Pyramid of Katchu Picchu. And of course, the city-ship of Feles, which remains protected by a force field that keeps it out-of-phase (in another dimension) and submerged several kilometers off the shores of Megakat City, waiting for the kats to one day be ready to unveil its secrets.

Something similar happens with the Goa'uld presence: most of its artifacts are hidden in the ruins or far from the public; some pieces found, such as jewelry, statuettes, tablets and inscriptions, are exhibited in museums without knowing their true origin or nature. Others, however, are jealously guarded as sacred relics by the priestly caste of Basteism in Bhurakistan, some members of which are fully aware of the nature of the artifacts. The Great Pyramid of Katchu Picchu itself was originally smooth-sided, but over the centuries it has been modified numerous times away from its original appearance; around it, and even within the subway chamber, are numerous buried and extremely valuable artifacts, such as jewelry, weapons, and even the Sarcophagus of Bastet.

The Omeyocan, specifically Quetzalcoatl, left hardly any physical traces of their presence, and there is no evidence that the Asgard visited the planet.

10. Recent interactions with aliens

Phellus has remained oblivious to galactic conflicts since Bastet's escape, but was indirectly affected in recent years.

During the final Battle against the replicators on Dakara in 2005 (3990 A.D.), Phellus' gate was activated along with all the others in the galaxy. The same thing happened when the System Lord Anubis planned to use Dakara's Superweapon to eradicate all life in the Milky Way, which would have led to the extinction of the kat species.

Near the end of the Ori Crusade, in 2007 (3992 A.D.) three Ori warships appeared in the Phellus solar system with the goal of conquering the planet and gaining new followers to the Origin faith. They stopped in the vicinity of Iovis when the Ark of Truth was opened in the Milky Way, causing them to call off the attack and return unseen and unharmed to Phellus.

Two and a half years later, the arrival of a space pirate named Mutilor who threatened to steal the planet's water caused unrest and fear in the governments of the eight nations, which while stopped, did not detract from the fact that no government on the planet had a plan against hostile aliens either alone or together.

11. Trivia

- The position of the continents of Phellus is similar to those of Earth during the second half of the Cretaceous period, except that one of the continents is at the south pole.
- Less than 1% of the kat population possesses the active ATA gene.
- The Megawar I is comparable to the Seven Years' War and the Napoleonic Wars, while the Mega-War II is equivalent to the World War I and II combined.
- Megakat City is located in the Murician state of West Andreas, on the west coast of the Verucchi continent.
- Following the timeline of this topic, the Swat Kats series takes place between the years 3994 and early 3995 A.K., with the year 3993 being when the Enforcer Headquarters incident occurred that cost Jake and Chance their jobs.
- The map I attached in the Politics section is merely comparative to identify names and regions with respect to Earth. I have not yet been able to make my own map for Phellus.

Sorry I haven't commented on this yet. It's a lot to take in. It's a very interesting take on the possible origins of the SWAT Kats world, although never having seen Stargate SG-1, I can't comment on how well the elements from that show fit in.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment. So that I don't have to go too deep into the 10 seasons, I share this link to get an idea of what the series is about.

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/ ... rgateVerse

Actually, introducing the world of the Swat Kats -not just the planet, but the world of the series- is not that difficult, since the series never specified whether it takes place on an alternate Earth or another planet -despite the rejected ideas of When Strikes Mutilor- On the contrary, the Stargateverse is quite broad, spanning two or three galaxies, with SG-1 developing in the Milky Way, which as we know, is HUGE.

The only problem I found is that in the world of Swat Kats, magic exists, while in the Stargateverse it does not, "magic" being explained as highly advanced technology or the work of highly evolved beings. So, since I couldn't imagine the Pastmaster using alien technology, I put that magic does exist.

As for the rest, and apart from everything related to Stargate, I tried to create a world that was very similar or identical to ours, but with its obvious differences because they are different species; even the theme of religion does not need the alien element to make sense in itself.
