I'd rather stick with the series, it's a lot more fun, and a movie requires a far bigger budget which won't help with the show's quality, most likely.
Donny Huang wrote:What kinds of style do you like? 2D ?

Yes, something similar to Season 2's animation.
Donny Huang wrote:3D Animation?

No, it's way too overused nowadays, we need more hand-drawn animation, and less CGI.
Donny Huang wrote:or live-action?
You mean like those crappy reboots of Scooby Doo, Garfield and The Smurfs? Hopefully that will never happen.
Donny Huang wrote:What kinds of story do you like? comedy? Darkness? or like Transformers, Fighting and philosophic ?
...Transformers is philosophical? You mean the Michael Bay movies? What? The only time they tried to be philosophical was with Beast Wars.
The Bayformers movies are just several robots kicking each others' skidplates.

I think a movie would be great for the kick starter. I know it's a lot more money but it could bring out more fans, showing networks it's a good idea to bring the series on board. I had no idea about Swat Kats Revolution until April and I'm sure I'm not the only one plus it will bring in a newer generation as well as people who never heard of it but would mostlikely like it.
It would also be a good opportunity to dive into deeper relationships, background stories, ect. Maybe commander Ferasl brother was a hotshot enforcer, crippled in the line of duty, maybe we can see him snap at the criminal who did it and affect the dynamic between him and the Swat Kats. Or introduced to new characters.
Besides money being a challenge we have to think of what would help push it forward and not take away from the series. I think a 3D movie would take away from it since the series is 2D and people who are new to the Swat Kats would have a 3D expectation when they hear the tv series is in the works. Live action might be cool but the cost would probably be insane and should be saved for when we already have Swat Kats back and a better budget.

I think those movies failed because of the casting. The isue of not casting enough Asian people from d film based off of an anime upset a lot of people resulting in a boycott. I heard they want to make a live action of Thunder Cats so that can be our test dummy. I think as long as you have d good script, actors, make-up artist and good CGI team it would be good but that a lot of money,2D would be cheaper

After watching theSuper Mario movie, I think it be cool for SWAT Kats to have a film series similar to Sonic the Hedgehog

Here's who I would imagine the cast would be:
  • Benjamin Diskin as Chance Furlong/T-Bone
  • Charlie Schlatter as Jake Clawson/Razor
  • John Cleese as Mayor Manx
  • Aisha Tyler as Lt. Felina Feral
  • Chad Coleman as Commander Ulysses Feral
The main villain would be Dark Kat. Here's how it would go: Dark Kat takes over MegaKat City causing a resistance to oppose him. Chance's grandfather goes missing. Chance and Jake still get booted from the Enforcers and decide to help the resistance on their own as vigilantes. Feral would be opposed to them still while Felina starts to tolerate them. T-Bone and Razor try to help the resistance overthrow Dark Kat and at the same time, figure out what happened to Chance's grandfather. I would make Feral be Felina's father rather than uncle and Feral has a vendetta against Dark Kat for sacrificing his wife (Felina's mother) in a ritual. Manx would still be the same as he was except that he would abandon the resistance when it seems that all hope is lost. As for Dark Kat, I would want him to be able to use dark magic and revive Queen Callista (in zombie form) so that she can be his wife even though Queen Callista (in zombie form) is old enough to be his grandmother.
I would throw in Burke and Murray as Chance and Jake's enforcer rivals. Lieutenant Commander Steele would be Manx's nephew that flees with his uncle. Callie Briggs wouldn't be in it. Feral would act like J. Jonah Jameson at first and then eventually behaves similarly to Commissioner Gordon. I would make Feral slightly more older than in the animated series and with a moustache.

Perhaps then there could be spinoffs such as a prequel about Feral and movies about the SWAT Kat's foes: Pastmaster, Dark Kat, and the Metallikats. What do you guys think?
