SK Art of Fell-oh-knee
SK Art of Fell-oh-knee
Tra la la... My work takes up time and energy which is why I don't do much art anymore. X_x. I have done some SK stuffs tho so I shall share with y'all to cure boredom for a few moments.
What if the SWAT Kats jet the Turbokat became a kat? Here's my take on what that would look like.
Done using mechanical pencil, Sakura ink pens and Copic markers. The sky is photoshopped in.

Re: SK Art of Felony
Decided to work more on this older image:
While I was happy with the original, it still felt incomplete, like I could do more to it. Was finally able to tweak it and I am more pleased with the outcome.
Finished commission for MoDaD. Felina Feral got demoted in his fan fiction to traffic patrol and is not enthused about her work. His fiction is very well written and quite suspenseful. You can find his stories here: http://skfanfic.com/category/authors/modad at the SWAT Kats Fan Fiction Archive http://skfanfic.com/. This image is meant to go along with his last work Ten Twenty-Four which is a continuation to Last Names and My Responsibility, so I suggest you read those two first to avoid spoilers.
Seriously, if you want to read some excellent SWAT Kats fan fic, you can’t get much better than MoDaD’s works.
Drawn by hand using mechanical pencils. Inked and colored digitally using photoshop. Background done up with photoshop.

Turmoil is my second favorite villain from SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. Inspired by a long ago RPG and the fiction of MoDaD where Turmoil is a skilled swordsman.

One of my favorite cartoon villains is Dark Kat. I swear the guy's a demon or something. >_>. He is also a challenge to draw.

Re: SK Art of Fell-oh-knee
I really like the look of physical media, which make all of the subtle shades you use in your copic works all the more impressive, particularly in the cape, boots and cap of Turmoil. Not a whole lot of room for error or choosing the "undo" option. As I've said many times in the past, I think your style is the perfect blend of detail VS minimum essentials, which I think would be great for traditional animation or a daily/frequently updated comic (when I imagine scenes from the MBI they're in your art style
).
For anyone who's interested, are you still doing commission work or have other IRL things taken that option off the table due to time constraints?

Thanks, MoDaD! I really enjoy doing non-digital media (save for the lack of being able to undo XD) and I feel more successful in it.MoDaD wrote:I really like the look of physical media, which make all of the subtle shades you use in your copic works all the more impressive, particularly in the cape, boots and cap of Turmoil. As for commissions... No, still not possible right now. In fact I have one overdue piece that has been in the inking stage forever. X_c. Part of why Nova is so sporadic as both Poecat and I are busy, she with her comics and freelance work and myself with my physically demanding job. I got some muscles now tho lol and get exercise. I just don't have as much energy plus my left eye didn't fully regain clear vision which I've had to learn to adjust in my art. I have a few things I'm working on but completing them takes awhile.

Parody crossover image of the SWAT Kats in the Dragonball Z 'verse (specifically on planet Namek). Razor picks up T-Bone's power level and it's over 9000!!!!!

Callie waking up early one Saturday to the SWAT Kats taking out some baddie. It’s her only day to sleep in so she isn’t having any of this. XD
This is an experiment really. Two images done in ink and Copics on cardstock put together to have it appear like Callie is looking out her window with the city reflected on the glass. I merged these in Photoshop. The bar on the window and the pane shine was added after to assist in the effect.

Wow, that last one of Callie is incredible! The effect is perfect! ᶘ *ᴥ*ᶅ And yeah, I know that feeling of her since my neighbours seem to like making the loundry and walk in heeled shoes only when I'm asleep... ᶘ ¬ᴥ¬ᶅ

I ROFL'd at Super Saiyan Chance. He would so love DBZ
Callie: Wait, coffee first... then think about explosions outside....
T-Stop Felina is the BEST XD
Jeez, your command of this traditional media is very vibrant. I know your busy but I will always look forward to more whenever they may come
