Favorite Commercials
Let's face it, commercial breaks themselves can be a drag to sit thru. However, I've found that if you look at a commercial by itself, they can be...interesting to say the least. So, I figured I'd set up a thread where we can all share our favorite ads from the tube.
I'll start with one I'm sure many of you are familiar with...

I feel that this is a case of the commercial is better than the product...

Re: Favorite Commercials
Since my family couldn't get cable until I was around 8 years old, I'm kind of limited in what I remember.
But here's one, back when you had to order through phone!

Re: Favorite Commercials
I think this is still my favorite commercial. I looked forward to it during it's entire run.

Uh oh... I think I need a bigger box....
I still have the 'I love you' Gidget the Chihuahua toy my brother got me.

Re: Favorite Commercials
Most people remember Mighty Max through the cartoon rather than the toy line, which is the opposite of how things usually seem to go, in my experience. In any case, I never saw a single episode until long after it'd gone off the air, and while it's a decent enough show, I very much prefer the toys. I guess because I grew up with them? Oh well. First up is the commercial for the playset Mighty Max Escapes from Skull Dungeon, which not only got me into Mighty Max but also got me into mad scientists - this is before SWAT Kats for me; you can pretty much trace a direct path from Skull Dungeon's Dr. Gore to SWAT Kats' own Dr. Viper for me, heh.
"Smasher, get up! Your brain donor is here!"
Exactly how Smasher is capable of coming after Max when he hasn't got his brain yet is left to our imaginations...
The next commercial is for one of the larger playsets, Mighty Max Blasts Magus, which was essentially a largish action figure of a robotic rock monster (think Volcanus with cybernetic bits) that transformed into a playset.
"To the dungeon, Max, and take your chicken with you!"

I'm weirdly nostalgic for the whole "order through phone" thing.
Also, we got one of these after I saw one on a commercial.
