Thanks, everyone, for your praise and encouragement thus far. I'm hard at work on the next set of figures which will hopefully be ready for pictures starting early next week. Progress is slowed down a little with visiting family and a new German Shepherd puppy. Also a couple of figures require a fair bit of Sugru. <_<

~Personal Tips~

~A lot of the current brushables have painted scenes on the side that are REALLY hard to scrub off with acetone/nail polish remover alone. I set mine in a small bowl with acetone/nail polish remover and let it soak for a few minutes. Then use a scrubbing tool/pad (I like the Scotch-Brite Dobie) and scrub it off gently. It will get the majority off.

~When it comes time to remove the hair from the head, I don't like removing the neck plug. I prefer to cut a notch out of the neck plug so that it looks like a keyhole. It makes reattaching the head and taking it off again pretty easy. With the male ponies that are currently out sometimes they come off on their own as you take the head off.

~If you decide to use Sugru, beware that it smudges on your fingers something awful, especially the black. Therefor it can and will smear onto your work, so keep paper towel handy. It cleans off more easily when you put sealant (top coat nail polish, Mod Podge, varnish, other) on it first. To get it off your hands, I use Goo Gone and then hand soap.
