Movie Plot 1: SWAT Kats: Infected

After arriving home, a young Chance Furlong discovers that his mother Emily Watson's house has been burglarized. Enforcers weapons developer and scientist Emily Watson streamed a live video message through social media to expose the dark truth about the Enforcers and their secret projects as well as to explain the reason behind her disappearance. The transmission abruptly ends after a few seconds and the evidence of the existence of the transmission mysteriously disappears from Emily's social profile and is never found again. Chance's mother gathers hidden documents from a secret safe hidden behind the wall of her bedroom, takes Chance to the home of Emmett Clawson and his son Jake Clawson, and then mysteriously departs and never returns. Later, Emily is aboard a private cruise with the intentions of leaving MegaKat City forever. Four assassins sent by the Enforcers to kill Emily invade the cruise and kill both Emily and the captain before leaving in an Enforcer helicopter with the research. Commander Ulysses Feral notifies Emmett about Emily's disappearance, and Emmett decides to take care of Chance.

Years later, Chance and Jake are young adults who assist to the Enforcer Academy, where Jake has caught the eye of Felina Feral, Commander Feral's niece. Later, Chance, Jake and Felina graduate from the Enforcer Academy and become part of the Enforcer Air Force Squadron. One day, the city gets attacked by a group of terrorists who are heading towards Enforcer Headquarters to drop a dangerous bomb and destroy the building. Chance and Jake join the rest of the squadron to put a stop the terrorists, Chance being the pilot and Jake being the Radar Intercept Officer. During an ensuing air battle, Jake deactivates the weapons system of the enemy jet with a missile, the bomb is also damaged by the same missile. Then, Jake locked another missile to take down the enemy, but their former superior, Commander Feral, interferes and orders them to back off even though their missiles were already locked, meaning that it was their tag. This provokes an argument between them that distracts Ulysses and causes him to accidentally hit Chance and Jake’s jet. While Ulysses’ jet was completely operational, Chance and Jake’s jet refused to respond, so they had no other choice but to eject before the jet crashed on Enforcer Headquarters. Ulysses was distracted by the crash and lost track of the terrorists.

Later, in front of the destroyed Enforcer Headquarters, an enraged Commander Feral discharged Chance and Jake from the force and assigned them to do long-term community service at the MegaKat City Military Salvage Yard to pay for the damages caused by the accident, which considering their salary, was very unlikely. When Chance and Jake arrived at the Salvage Yard, they waited for their supervisors Burke and Murray to arrive, as Commander Feral instructed them to do. Burke and Murray arrived at the Salvage Yard in their truck and gave them the keys to run the place. Additionally from running the Salvage Yard, Chance and Jake also ran a garage called "Jake and Chance's Garage". Felina visits Chance and Jake at the Salvage Yard because she wanted to know what happened between them and her uncle. Chance and Jake explain that her uncle unfairly discharged them for an accident he caused. After that, she talks with Jake in private and confesses to him. Jake invited her to a date at a park, which she kindly accepts, but with the condition of bringing Chance as well. Later, Felina escorts her uncle for abusing of his power to ruin the lives of her friends, but he decides to avoid talking about it and just says that he had his reasons to do it and that she should respect that.

Jake and Felina went on their date to the park that same day when they night arrived. Chance was there too, but Jake and Felina realized that bringing Chance was a mistake because he just wouldn't let them have a moment of privacy. They could’ve told him to leave them alone, but they didn’t wanted to be rude, so they just played along. The date ended up becoming a friends night out, but Jake and Felina still developed feelings for each other. Felina also told them what happened between her and her uncle, and Chance and Jake told her that she didn’t needed to try to help them because the damage was already done. They believed that nothing would change Feral’s mind about his decision, specially since it was a threat to his precocious reputation.

After arriving home from the date, Chance finds an old photo of him and his parents in the attic that had an address written on it. Upon going to the address, he discovers that the address was from his mother's old house. He got in and finds his mother's old papers hidden in a small space locked with a door underneath a carpet. After analyzing the papers, Chance learns that his mother Emily was a weapons developer and scientist at the secret projects department of the Enforcers. She used to work with fellow scientist Dr Elrod Purvis in the field of biochemistry. When Emily died, Dr. N. Zyme become Dr. Elrod Purvis’ new lab partner.

After searching around the internet for months, Chance discovers millions of blogs and forums surrounding conspiracy theories about the secret projects of the Enforcers and the several times the had to kill employees to prevent their cruel experiments from being known to the public. He goes to the deep web, where he finds an archived version of Emily's transmission, which was uploaded by an anonymous user who screen recorded the live transmission before it disappeared and uploaded it to the dark web. The Enforcers never found out about the existence of such video because it was deeply buried on the internet.

In the video, Emily explains that she was assigned to do a research, but after finding out that the Enforcers were using the research for the purpose of creating soldiers with super abilities and experimenting with homeless people they would recruit by offering them money, she took her research and never returned to the secret military underground laboratory where the Enforcers performed their cruel experiments, usually resulting in the death of civilians. In order to eliminate her, the Enforcers sent assassins to hunt her down and take her research, which explains why the house was burglarized and why Emily took those papers with her. Those papers were her research. Chance deduced that the reason she never returned was because the assassins sent by the Enforcers managed to find her and kill her. Later, Chance shows Emily's documents and the archived video of Emily's transmission to Jake as well as explaining to him what happened to his mother Emily. Then, takes him to his mother's old house.

The next day, Chance and Jake visit Dr Elrod Purvis at his house and reveal that Chance was the son of Emily. He lets them in and explains that one of the secret projects he and Emily were working on was the cure of cancer, which he planned to use to cure his daughter. Chance and Jake, who had already analyzed all of Emily's papers, already know that Emily had multiple projects in that folder, including a project related to cancer. Jake memorized an unresolved equation that was necessary for the research to be complete, so he used Elrod's tools to finish Emily's research and after successful results, he gave the equation to Elrod, who was astonished by Jake's accomplishment and invited him and Chance to his lab underneath Enforcer Headquarters, at the "Secret Projects" department to continue developing the cure of cancer. Elrod finally had the chance to save his daughter, and the entire world from this curse called cancer, and if he needed to break some rules by infiltrating civilians to a restricted are to finish his life project, he will. All he ever wanted to do is protect katkind from illness at all cost.

After Chance and Jake left, Elrod called Dr. Zyme to tell him about what Chance and Jake accomplished and to ask him to help him infiltrate them into his lab at the Secret Projects Department. Zyme wasn’t really sure at first, but Elrod convinced him by giving him a long and boring speech about sometimes having to break the rules to do good. The next day, Dr. Purvis and Dr. Zyme infiltrated Chance and Jake to the underground Secret Projects facility while trying to avoid Commander Feral as much as possible. When they arrived to Elrod and Zyme’s lab, Chance and Jake helped them develop the cure for cancer using the knowledge they've acquired with Emily's papers. The cure wasn't done, but the progress was very advanced.

Chance and Jake left Elrod’s and Zyme’s lab, but instead of leaving Enforcer Headquarters, they borrowed some extra uniforms that belonged to Zyme and sneaked inside another laboratory. After exploring the place, they learn that the laboratory was where they were continuing the experiments based on Emily's research, meaning that the Enforcers didn't only kill her, but they also managed to retrieve her research. As they keep exploring the place, they get inside a small room and get locked inside. In their desperation, they push a button that activates a machine that unloads a red and blue gas that intoxicated Chance and Jake and caused them to faint. When they wake up, Jake kicks a glass window to escape, activating an alarm. He kicks the window again and they exit the room and retrieve all of the documents related to the project (including Emily’s research) and the samples to prevent the Enforcers from continuing the experiments based on Emily’s research.

Before escaping from Enforcer Headquarters, Chance and Jake don two prototype Enforcer armours to protect their identities. The prototype Enforcer Armours that they stole were designed to be used by super soldiers in the battlefield to keep these superpowers under control. As they escape, they discover that they have developed super abilities. Chance has developed super strength, the ability to stomp on the ground and create small earthquakes and the ability to expand his legs or arms to make his punches or kicks more powerful. Jake has developed super speed, telekinesis, and regeneration. At home, Chance and Jake secure the retrieved documents and samples in their closets if they ever needed them.

At the MegaKat Savings Bank, where Emmett works, a masked man broke inside and started shooting with an advanced weapon that disintegrated everyone inside, including Emmett. He used stolen advanced technology to open the money vaults with easy and take all of the money and escaped in a high-tech van that could become invisible. Chance and Jake learn about the incident in the bank after watching the report on Kat's Eye News and arrive at the place and learn that their father was turned into ashes. Chance and Jake go to Enforcer Headquarters and demand Commander Feral to begin an investigation. Felina visits Chance and Jake at their house to support them after Emmett's death and tells Jake that she'll be there for him, but he was filled with anger and frustration and tells her to go away.

After a few weeks, Commander Feral calls Chance and Jake to meet with him at his office, where he reveals the identity and appearance of Emmett's killer, Rex Shard. At their garage at the Salvage Yard, Chance and Jake discover a hidden underground hangar from the Mega War II era that belonged to the Blue Manx. Jake has the idea of using their new powers to become vigilantes and kill Emmett’s killer as well as to protect the city from crime in their own way and use this hangar as their new HQ where they could have their own jet, gadgets, missiles, etc.

Chance and Jake used their suits and their superpowers to steal materials and equipment from Puma-Dyne to modify and upgrade their prototype Enforcer armours and turn them into their official suits with a redesigned look and logo. After their suits were ready, they adopted codenames, Chance was T-Bone and Jake was Razor, and together they were the SWAT Kats. The SWAT Kats stole a jet from Enforcer Headquarters and modified it with stolen technology also from Puma-Dyne and turned it into the TurboKat. They also developed all sorts of missiles and gadgets to work with their TurboKat, their SWAT Kat armours and their superpowers. Afterwards, the SWAT Kats go on patrol during the night on the TurboKat to track down Emmett's killer. After a few nights of investigation, the SWAT Kats find Rex's hideout and sneak inside while he was sleeping and drop a mini bomb that exploded in a huge cloud of green gas that intoxicated and killed Rex.

Commander Feral is notified about the vigilantes after a video about them goes viral on social media and he starts a manhunt against them and makes a public live announcement through Kat's Eye News's streaming platforms where he exposes the SWAT Kats as criminals and ensures that they'll be arrested at first sight. Feeling more happy and satisfied after getting revenge against Rex, Jake decided to text Felina and tell her that he wants to be with her after all. Felina replies by giving him the address to her house so that they could have dinner with her family, but this time, it would only be her and Jake.

Later, at dinner with Felina's family at a fancy restaurant, Jake has a tense conversation with her uncle and his former superior, Commander Feral, over the accident at Enforcer Headquarters and the new masked vigilante's motives. After dinner, Jake takes Felina to the secret hangar where he and Chance reveal their identities to her and explain everything to her. The secret projects being made by the Enforcers (which she wasn't aware of) , their motivations behind killing Rex and how they came to be. Felina promised to keep the secret as long as they didn’t hurt any innocent civilians. Afterwards, Razor and Felina go outside of the Salvage Yard and sit on a high mountain of scrap metal, where Felina unmasks Razor and kisses him on the rain at night.

Felina goes to Enforcer Headquarters and manages to infiltrate into the Secret Projects Department, where she is witness to a lot of horrific experiments and took photos and videos. She leaves and is unsure of whether to expose them or not since her uncle was also part of the problem and she may loose her job. She erased the videos from her phone and went to her uncle’s house instead to talk about her discovery. Commander Feral threatened of killing her if she ever told anyone about what she saw, and she leaves the house and goes to Chance Jake’s house to tell them what happened. Chance and Jake instruct her to remain silent for her own safety.

Meanwhile, Elrod visits the hospital and is notified about the fatal state of his daughter Elizabeth. In an act of desperation, he rushes the cure and tries it on himself to see if it cures his own cancer, which his daughter inherited. After the injection, he has a heart attack and dies. His lab partner, Dr N Zyme, finds him dead on the floor the next morning. Zyme contacts Chance and Jake and notifies them about Elrod's death. Later, Elizabeth also dies in the hospital and her body is taken to the morgue, along with her faster's body. Chance and Jake (who are wearing their SWAT Kat suits underneath their civil clothes) visit Elrod Purvis at the morgue and after seeing his body, they notice that his fur has fallen and his skin has turned green, scaly and slimy. Chance expands the claw on his index finger and sinks it deep inside Elrod's skin to make sure that he was dead. When he takes it out, his claw was filled with a green and slimy kind of blood. Elrod Purvis (now calling himself Dr Viper) awakes as a mutated monster that after seeing that his daughter was dead at the morgue, he goes insane and starts attacking everyone at the morgue before leaving the building and escaping through the sewers. Chance and Jake suit up and follow Dr Viper in the sewers, where they have a brief fight before he escapes. The SWAT Kats realize that Dr. Viper was just as strong and agile as them, so fighting him would be a very hard and tedious task.

When the SWAT Kats return to the surface, they are chased by the Enforcers and the SWAT Kats run to an alleyway and climb the buildings and run through the rooftops, where they remotely summon the TurboKat and fly away. After hearing the reports from a few witnesses at the morgue about Dr Viper, Commander Feral is in disbelief about the existence of such creature and decides not to start an investigation on Dr Viper, but rather on the SWAT Kats. He just can’t believe what the witnesses are saying because there has never been a case like that, and since there wasn’t any visual proof, he just assumed that the SWAT Kats did the attack and appropriated of Elrod’s body.

On another public live announcement through Kat's Eye News's streaming platforms, Commander Feral falsely accuses the SWAT Kats as being the ones behind the attacks of the city morgue, including the appropriation of Dr Elrod Purvis' body. Chance and Jake are watching the live announcement on their laptops and Chance threw an empty can of milk at the laptop's screen because he was furious at Feral's accusations. Meanwhile, Dr Viper exits the city and goes to the swamp, where he finds an abandoned laboratory in a giant treehouse in the middle of the swamp. He inspects the place and finds out that it belonged to a scientist that just like him, went mad and created his own laboratory in this treehouse in the middle of the swamp. The scientist caused his own death after experimenting on himself. Dr. Viper decided to adopt the place as his brand new laboratory.

The next day, Dr Viper steals some chemicals from Biochemical Labs and fights the SWAT Kats again, unfortunately, the SWAT Kats fail again to capture Dr Viper, who blew up the upper floors of Biochemical Labs after mixing two chemicals together and throwing them at the SWAT Kats. Once again, the SWAT Kats are found responsible for the attack and the Enforcers chase after them. In an online Kat's Eye News report, Ann Gora says that the SWAT Kats were the ones responsible for the attack, putting the entire city against them.

Some weeks later, at his treehouse laboratory, Dr Viper has developed a mutagen using the chemicals he stole earlier that would transform the infected person into a mutant so that they could keep spreading the infection and hopefully turn everyone in the city into mutants to eliminate the weakness he believes plagues katkind, to hopefully make a new race that can't be affected by sickness, even cancer. He plans to infect hundreds of people's systems with the mutagen by adding it to the chemical being used in a massive flu shot event in Biochemical Labs, that was still under reconstruction due to the events taking place a few weeks ago.

Chance and Jake call Felina to ask her if she believed what the media was saying about them, and she says that she doesn't believe in anything and that she's by their side. The SWAT Kats along Felina in her Enforcer uniform, follow a trail of slime left by Dr Viper that leads them to his laboratory treehouse in the middle of the swamp and they notice that Dr Viper wasn't there. They learn his plan of infecting the city. Chance, Jake and Felina tell Commander Feral about their discovery and that the flu shot event needs to be cancelled for proper verification of the chemical being injected onto people, but due to their lack of proof, Commander Feral doesn't take any action. They try to convince him to go to the treehouse in the swamp so that he could see for himself, but he doesn't listen either.

Dr Viper infiltrates Biochemical Labs and adds the mutagen to all of the flu shots and shortly after the civilians get injected, they start to mutate and get transformed into all sorts of monsters and the infection spreads quickly around the city. The SWAT Kats and Felina infiltrate Biochemical Labs and take a sample of Viper's mutagen and go to the Secret Projects laboratory at Enforcer Headquarters where Razor develops a cure and loads it up to a bomb that would explode and turn the serum into a massive gas cloud. Dr Viper suddenly enters the lab and opens the door, allowing the entrance of a lot of mutants who infect Felina. The SWAT Kats escape through the vents with the missile, and T-Bone also gets infected halfway through. Razor manages to escape from Enforcer Headquarters without being infected and fights Dr Viper one last time before loading the TurboKat with the anti-mutagen gas bomb and flying to a very high altitude in the TurboKat to drop the bomb, which explodes in a gas cloud that covers the entire city and reverts the effects of the mutagen and kills Dr Viper.

The SWAT Kats meet with Felina, who then kisses Razor. Commander Feral caught her and told her to come with him, but Felina rebelled against him and announced her renunciation to her position as Lieutenant out loud before going into Razor's arms, who carried her inside the TurboKat. T-Bone flew around the city while Razor and Felina kissed on the back. Later, Chance and Jake were watching Kat's Eye News on their laptop while fixing a car at their garage. In the news report, Commander Feral was being interviewed by Ann Gora about the events from last week regarding the infection caused by the new captured and preserved Dr Viper. Ulysses gave credit to him and his Enforcers for everything the SWAT Kats did, but then he suddenly gets interrupted by Felina, who exposes him and tells the truth about her and the SWAT Kats working together to save the city because her uncle refused to take action on the matter when he had the chance. Felina is kicked out of the TV station, but her message was already out there. The SWAT Kats were the ones who saved the city. Ann Gora asked Commander Feral about his opinion on his niece's statement, but he didn't say anything and left. Later, Felina went to the garage to celebrate their victory and drink milk with Chance and Jake.

Why give the Enforcers this dark secret? Is Feral aware of his men experimenting and assassinating kats for some nefarious project?
Years later, Chance and Jake are young adults who assist to the Enforcer Academy, where Jake has caught the eye of Felina Feral, Commander Feral's niece. Later, Chance, Jake and Felina graduate from the Enforcer Academy and become part of the Enforcer Air Force Squadron.
Why did you replace Dark Kat in the scene where Jake and Chance get clipped by Feral’s jet and their jet crashes into the building?
Later, in front of the destroyed Enforcer Headquarters, an enraged Commander Feral discharged Chance and Jake from the force and assigned them to do long-term community service at the MegaKat City Military Salvage Yard to pay for the damages caused by the accident, which considering their salary, was very unlikely. Jake invited her to a date at a park, which she kindly accepts, but with the condition of bringing Chance as well.
Not much of a date there. XD
After arriving home from the date, Chance finds an old photo of him and his parents in the attic that had an address written on it. Upon going to the address, he discovers that the address was from his mother's old house. He got in and finds his mother's old papers hidden in a small space locked with a door underneath a carpet. Those papers were her research. Chance deduced that the reason she never returned was because the assassins sent by the Enforcers managed to find her and kill her.
I thought the Enforcers erased everything off the Internet Emily posted but they let stuff others posted stay up? Why didn’t they find and assassinate them?
Later, Chance shows Emily's documents and the archived video of Emily's transmission to Jake and then takes him to his mother's old house. The next day, Chance and Jake visit Dr Elrod Purvis and reveal that Chance was the son of Emily. He lets them in and explains that one of the secret projects he and Emily were working on was the cure of cancer, which he planned to use to cure his daughter. Why are the Enforcers working on a cure for cancer? LOL They are a law enforcement agency...
Chance and Jake left Elrod's lab, but instead of leaving Enforcer Headquarters, they borrowed some extra uniforms that belonged to an employee and sneaked inside another laboratory. After exploring the place, they learn that the laboratory was where they were continuing the experiments based on Emily's research, meaning that the Enforcers didn't only kill her, but they also managed to retrieve her research. Um... so Chance and Jake have superpowers??
At the MegaKat Savings Bank, where Emmett works, a masked man broke inside and started shooting with an advanced weapon that disintegrated everyone inside, including Emmett. He used stolen advanced technology to open the money vaults with easy and take all of the money and escaped in a high-tech van that could become invisible. Chance and Jake learn about the incident in the bank after watching the report on Kat's Eye News and arrive at the place and learn that their father was turned into ashes. The Enforcers give the ashes matching Emmett's DNA in a container to Chance and Jake and reveal the identity and appearance of Emmett's killer, Rex Shard. Felina visits Chance and Jake at their house to support them after Emmett's death and tells Jake that she'll be there for him, but he was filled with anger and frustration and tells her to go away.
I don’t think DNA can be salvaged from the ashes of something...
At their garage at the Salvage Yard, Chance and Jake discover a hidden underground hangar from the Mega War II era, where using stolen Puma-Dyne materials and equipment, they modified the prototype Enforcer armours and turned them into their official suits.
Why do Chance and Jake need armored Enforcer suits when they already have a lot of superpowers? A bit much...
The SWAT Kats sure are stealing a lot of stuff in this.

Aaaand they killed Rex Shard??
Commander Feral is notified about the vigilantes after a video about them goes viral on social media and he starts a manhunt against them and makes a public live announcement through Kat's Eye News's streaming platforms where he exposes the SWAT Kats as criminals and ensures that they'll be arrested at first sight. After dinner, Jake takes Felina to the secret hangar where he and Chance reveal their identities to her. Afterwards, Razor and Felina go outside of the Salvage Yard and sit on a high mountain of scrap metal, where Felina unmasks Razor and kisses him on the rain at night.
Aaaand Felina is cool with theft and murder??
Meanwhile, Elrod visits the hospital and is notified about the fatal state of his daughter Elizabeth. In an act of desperation, he rushes the cure and tries it on himself to see if it cures his own cancer, which his daughter inherited. After the injection, he has a heart attack and dies. His lab partner, Dr N Zyme, finds him dead on the floor the next morning. Zyme contacts Chance and Jake and notifies them about Elrod's death. Later, Elizabeth also dies in the hospital and her body is taken to the morgue, along with her father’s body.
Um... I think there are better ways to check someone’s vitals. LOL
When the SWAT Kats return to the surface, they are chased by the Enforcers and the SWAT Kats run to an alleyway and climb the buildings and run through the rooftops, where they remotely summon the TurboKat and fly away.
Why did you change Dr. Viper and Dr. Zyme’s history? Also why does Zyme call Chance and Jake? Did Elrod tell him about them? Also they couldn’t stop Viper with their superpowers?
After hearing the reports from the witness at the morgue about Dr Viper, Commander Feral is in disbelief about the existence of such creature and decides not to start an investigation on Dr Viper, but rather on the SWAT Kats.
Seriously? Feral wouldn’t investigate after a witness giving their account firsthand?
On another public live announcement through Kat's Eye News's streaming platforms, Commander Feral falsely accuses the SWAT Kats as being the ones behind the attacks of the city morgue, including the appropriation of Dr Elrod Purvis' body. Chance and Jake are watching the live announcement on their laptops and Chance threw an empty can of milk at the laptop's screen because he was furious at Feral's accusations. Meanwhile, Dr Viper exits the city and goes to the swamp, where he finds an abandoned laboratory in a giant treehouse in the middle of the swamp.
... yeah boy, those treehouse swamp labs were popular with scientists back in the day. Viper sure was lucky to snag one. XDDD
...
Okay... I can’t read this anymore. This is... well is this meant to be an AU fic? All of the characters are written so OOC and events changed so much that this doesn’t resemble the series at all. There is a lot going on that there wouldn’t be enough time to fit all of this in one movie. Also why didn’t Chance and Jake investigate Emily’s murder? You kinda dropped that whole bit... There’s a lot of plot holes in this and it’s confusing to follow in how it is written. As an AU thing? Sure, go for it. There are interesting ideas here. This wouldn’t work though as any sort of movie or reboot for the SWAT Kats series IMO.

Thanks for reading. I read and analyzed your reply many times before posting my reply. I hope this helps:

Your questions:

Why give the Enforcers this dark secret?

- I gave the Enforcers a dark side because I wanted to give a reason for the SWAT Kats to hate the Enforcers and become anti-heroes fighting against the oppressive system.

Is Feral aware of his men experimenting and assassinating kats for some nefarious project?

- Commander Feral is aware of everything. He is corrupted. He kicked Chance and Jake from the force and put the to do long-term community service to protect himself. He is sort of a villain. The Enforcers in general are. They control the media and people's opinions. So if Felina wouldn't have interrupted Feral when he was talking to Ann about he and his Enforcers being the ones who saved the city, he could've easily made everyone believe his lie.

Why did you replace Dark Kat in the scene where Jake and Chance get clipped by Feral’s jet and their jet crashes into the building?

- I took Dark Kat out of the story because he doesn't have anything to do here. And because it would be too hard to develop two villains. Also because Dr. Viper is the first "supernatural" villain ever. If Dark Kat existed before Dr. Viper, then Feral wouldn’t have a reason to be in disbelief of the existence of Dr. Viper.

Not much of a date there. XD

- This isn't really a story. It's more like Wikipedia Plot Summary. A concept plot summary. So there is only emphasis on what moves the plot. The date doesn't matter at all, so I skipped it and moved to the next thing.

I thought the Enforcers erased everything off the Internet Emily posted but they let stuff others posted stay up? Why didn’t they find and assassinate them?

- Someone screen recorded the live transmission and uploaded it to the dark web. The Enforcers never found out about the existence of such video because it was deeply buried on the internet. Chance had to investigate for months to find that video.

Um... so Chance and Jake have superpowers??

- Since superhero movies are the sensation right now, I decided that they needed to be more like superheroes instead of just "regular guys".

I don’t think DNA can be salvaged from the ashes of something...

- If that's the case then I'll just say that the ashes flew away through the wind and were never found. Or that the ashes from everyone at the bank got mixed together. Chance and Jake would still know that Rex killed Emmett, and they would kill him anyway.

Why do Chance and Jake need armored Enforcer suits when they already have a lot of superpowers? A bit much...

- The Enforcer suits that they stole and modified were in the same laboratory where they were doing the experiments based on Emily's research. The suits were designed to be used by soldiers with superpowers to keep these superpowers under control. Chance and Jake didn't know about this at the moment, they stole them to prevent anyone from seeing who they were. They discovered it as they were escaping from the Enforcers.

The SWAT Kats sure are stealing a lot of stuff in this.

- The SWAT Kats needed to become the SWAT Kats as fast as possible. Making a jet from scrap would take years and I wanted them to be as young as possible. So instead of pretending that they can make gadgets and vehicles from military scrap, I decided to make it more realistic by having them using their powers to steal and modifying the technology at their convenience.

Aaaand they killed Rex Shard??

- In this case, the SWAT Kats are anti-heroes. They don't necessarily do things in the right way. And their motivation of killing Rex is clear, he killed Emmett and now they are killing him. Rex doesn't need to become another giant monster to be a villain, he robbed a bank and killed people, that makes him an even worse threat than in the show.

Aaaand Felina is cool with theft and murder??

- Felina shares the same mindset that Chance and Jake. Chance and Jake explain everything to her, from the secret projects being made by the Enforcers (which she wasn't aware of) and how her uncle ruined her lives and the motivations behind killing Rex.

Um... I think there are better ways to check someone’s vitals. LOL

- I know, but it would be a look more nasty and uncomfortable in that way. Which is what I wanted.

Why did you change Dr. Viper and Dr. Zyme’s history?

- I changed their story to fit the plot. They still work together, but they aren't enemies anymore. Or at least not when Elrod Purvis wasn't Dr. Viper.

Before becoming Dr. Viper, he just wanted to help katkind. After becoming Dr. Viper, he still had good intentions, but he wasn't thinking straight.

Also why does Zyme call Chance and Jake? Did Elrod tell him about them?

- Zyme called Chance and Jake to notify them about Elrod's death because he is Elrod's lab partner and best friend, so he knew about his friend infiltrating civilians to a restricted area and kept the secret. The reason Elrod broke so many rules is because he is desperate to save Elizabeth.

Also they couldn’t stop Viper with their superpowers?

- Dr. Viper is just as strong and fast as them, he could've easily escaped.

Seriously? Feral wouldn’t investigate after a witness giving their account firsthand?

- Feral just doesn't believe in the existence of such creature. In this story, there has never been a case like that, so there's no way Feral would take them seriously.

... yeah boy, those treehouse swamp labs were popular with scientists back in the day. Viper sure was lucky to snag one. XDD

- This tree house was made by a scientific that just like him, went mad and created his own laboratory. But then he caused his own death after experimenting on himself and now Dr. Viper adopted the laboratory for his own twisted experiments.

Other things you said:

"well is this meant to be an AU fic? All of the characters are written so OOC and events changed so much that this doesn’t resemble the series at all. All of the characters are written so OOC and events changed so much that this doesn’t resemble the series at all."

- Yes, this in an alternative universe. It's a reboot idea, not a remake.

"There is a lot going on that there wouldn’t be enough time to fit all of this in one movie."

- Maybe you're right, but it can be adapted to fit a movie.

"Also why didn’t Chance and Jake investigate Emily’s murder? You kinda dropped that whole bit... "

- Chance already figured out what happened to Emily and explained it to Jake when he showed him the documents and the video.

- Thanks for the review! It actually helps a lot!

Honestly, you’d be better off creating your own characters for this premise. RazEmbarrassed The only thing that is SWAT Kats about any of this are the names of characters and places. That’s it. Fans would be very disappointed and some probably angry. LOL you know how fandoms can be about small changes.

Aaaand they killed Rex Shard??
To be fair, I doubt they knew he wouldn't die from being blasted to bits. I think they fully intended to kill him there and it was just a happy accident he somehow survived. However, killing an enemy in the middle of a fight when you have no other options is not the same as following them home and assassinating them. In Chaos in Crystal, their attempts to kill Shard first with the Banshee Missiles and then with the sonic boom were both justified as he was a clear and present danger who'd left them no other options beyond literally breaking him. This is murdering him in his sleep in revenge when they can just as easily capture him alive.

This issue comes up in the movie Magnum Force, where Harry Callahan finds himself at odds with a group of rogue cops who kill criminals execution style, often after they've been found not guilty in court. They approach Harry to join their team several times and he refuses. Despite his reputation for gunning suspects down, he makes the clear distinction that he kills them while they're committing their crimes, he doesn't murder them in revenge because he didn't like how their trial turned out.

I think this is a distinction the SWAT Kats have as well; they've killed, but always when it's actually morally appropriate to do so, in order to eliminate an immediate threat, as opposed to after the bad guy isn't a threat anymore. That's flat-out murder.

TLDR: If they tracked Shard down and found him asleep, they'd capture him, not kill him, not unless he awoke and attacked them. I'm not comfortable with them using poison has on a guy while he's sleeping, no matter what he's done.

That’s what I had issue with... RazGrumpy Smile’s version, not the canon version.
